    Abstract: A foldable horizontal ruler, comprising a ruler body having at least two or more ruler units, wherein a connecting end is arranged on the ruler unit, a connecting block is arranged between the ruler units, and the connecting end forms a rotating kit with the connecting block so that the adjacent ruler units can be folded. The connecting end, arranged on the ruler unit, is provided with a connecting block, and the adjacent ruler units can be folded through the connecting block. The ruler body can be folded in multiple segments by designing more than one set of ruler body units, which makes the storage or carrying become more convenient. The magnet is arranged on the rotating shaft and the fixed pin, and the end of the ruler unit exposed. The magnet forms adsorption with the measured object, which reduces long-time lifting and reduces the user's level of fatigue.

In both positions, the resilience of the material enables the U-channel sections to be substantially positionally secured relative to each other. The deformable nature of the material enables the U-channel sections to be rotated relative to each other to transition from the collapsed position to the extended position, or from the extended position to the collapsed position. A telescoping assembly includes two elongated telescoping members each providing a free end. The telescoping members provide scales indicating the angular position between the two arms, the distance between the pivots of the free ends of the telescoping members on the arms, and a correction to be added to or subtracted from measurements along the length of the arms to establish distances from the corner which is being measured. The two arms can pivot through a full 360 degrees relative to each other, permitting the measurement of inside and outside corners of all sizes. A straight edge is removably mounted on one of the arms when measuring outside corners.

The bar comprises one portion without indicia and one portion having indicia or graduations thereon. A stud can be provided on the bar to engage a groove within the passageway in order to limit the slidable movement of the bar within the passageway.
