  • Patent number: 11357423
Abstract: Systems and methods use a three-dimensional snapshot of an infant, child, adolescent, or adult where the subject may have bent legs and an unaligned head position, to provide an estimate of human length. The system identifies anatomical features from the digital information and generates a virtual skeleton. The cumulative distances between pseudo-joints of the virtual skeleton provide an estimate of human length. Comparing length estimates from multiple three-dimensional snapshots of the same individual acquired over time provide an indication of growth of the infant, child, or adolescent. Daily estimates of length can detect growth faltering sooner than less frequent estimates of length, which can lead to timely intervention.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to non-invasive detection of peripheral arterial disease. For example, a measuring apparatus is used to measure a patient's calf circumference. The measuring apparatus has text feature(s) or indicator(s) printed thereupon that indicate the likelihood that the patient has peripheral arterial disease based on the measured calf circumference. The assessment may be further refined by using a software application that assesses the likelihood of the patient having peripheral arterial disease using at least the calf circumference measurement, along with other information/data. Based on the assessment, a healthcare practitioner may prescribe a walking program for the patient to follow. A software application may track compliance of the walking program and provide escalating reminders to the patient if the patient continues to fail to comply with the prescribed walking program.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for measuring and analyzing movements of a body and for communicating information related to such body movements over a network. In certain embodiments, a system gathers biometric and biomechanical data relating to positions, orientations, and movements of various body parts of a user performed during sports activities, physical rehabilitation, or military or law enforcement activities. The biometric and biomechanical data can be communicated to a local and/or remote interface, which uses digital performance assessment tools to provide a performance evaluation to the user. The performance evaluation may include a graphical representation (e.g., a video), statistical information, and/or a comparison to another user and/or instructor. In some embodiments, the biometric and biomechanical data is communicated wirelessly to one or more devices including a processor, display, and/or data storage medium for further analysis, archiving, and data mining.

  • Patent number: 10624424
Abstract: While purchasing shoes via an online shopping store, a user may use a foot measuring machine according to the invention to automatically download and print an insole which is adapted to the particular user's foot dimensions as well as the particular shoe which is being bought. Hence, a different insole is printed for every different user foot and shoe combination. This enables the user to try out the insole (or insoles for both feet) and make out an idea of the adaptability of the particular shoe to their feet. The foot measuring machine with a user interface facilitates the user the virtual purchase of shoes, generating an insole of the shoe it wants to purchase, so that the user can print the insole of the selected shoe and try it out by super-posing the foot on the insole outline.
