  • Patent number: 7372350
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay is provided which is small in size and is capable of controlling two circuits of an ordinarily-open contact, which has a large current-carrying capacity and high interrupting capability, and which is excellent in resistance against shock and vibration. Movable contactors are held, through bow-shaped movable contactor springs, to two -shaped holding frames each being electrically separated and being mechanically connected via a card made of a highly heat-resistant resin in a card block. Thick-plate shaped movable contacts, which are attached to the movable contactors in a fixed manner, are electrically connected or disconnected to fixed contacts in a base block, in synchronization with operations of an armature of an electro-magnet block. In order to improve a current-carrying capability and interrupting capability, there are provided two pieces of ordinarily-open contacts which are connected in series to each other, and between which an interval is doubled, in each of two circuits.

Abstract: An electromagnetically driven valve includes a driven valve having a stem and carrying out reciprocating motion along a direction in which the stem extends, a disc support base having an abutment surface, a disc extending from one end coupled to the stem toward the other end supported by the disc support base so as to allow free oscillation of the disc, and an electromagnet applying electromagnetic force to the disc. The disc has a root portion formed at the other end, and an arm portion formed from the root portion to one end. The electromagnet has a surface facing the arm portion. When the disc is attracted to the electromagnet the abutment surface abuts on the root portion and a gap is created between the surface and the arm portion. With such a structure, excellent quietness and durability can be achieved and energy loss can be reduced.

Abstract: A small-sized electromagnetic relay which can afford high current and dissipate generated heat efficiently is disclosed. A plate section 18c for coupling to one side of a yoke 14 is formed on a movable contact terminal 18. Countersunk rivet features at three or more positions which are not aligned on a line on the plate section 18c couple the movable contact terminal 18 to the yoke 14. A base end 16b of a movable contact spring 16 is coupled to the surface of the plate section 18c opposite to the yoke 14 to support the movable contact spring 16. In the countersunk rivet feature, each protrusion 14a formed on the yoke 14 is inserted into the corresponding countersunk hole 18d formed on the plate section 18c, respectively, and the tops of the protrusions 14a are crushed to expand its diameter so as to sandwich the plate section 18c against the yoke 14.

  • Patent number: 6756868
Abstract: The present invention provides an electromagnetic relay that has a long service life, even when being used for interrupting high voltage, and that can be miniaturized. In this electromagnetic relay, the circuit interruption is cut-off by two or more keying circuits, which are operated by a single coil and connected in series. Thus, an amount of generated arc per keying circuit is suppressed. Consequently, the service life of the electromagnetic relay is lengthened. Moreover, the space between the contracts thereof is reduced, so that the electromagnetic relay is miniaturized. Additionally, a magnetic field for extinguishing arc is formed by a back or counter electromotive force generated when the circuit is cut-off. Thus, the generated arc is extinguished.

Abstract: An electromagnetic relay makes it difficult for deformation due to impact force to easily occur even when bending work is applied to a contact plate. A coil block is put on a base and a moving contact plate and fixed contact plates are so juxtaposed as to oppose one another. The moving contact plate is constituted by a contact-fitting portion to which a moving contact is fixed, a push-in fixing portion which is pushed in and fixed to the base and from which terminal portions extend, and a connection portion for connecting the contact-fitting portion and the push-in fixing portion. The connection portion has a width smaller than those of the contact-fitting portion and the push-in fixing portion.

  • Patent number: 6686821
Abstract: A relay device capable of reducing the manufacturing costs thereof by decreasing the number of parts and the number of electrical connections between these parts, and making the manufacturing process simple. The relay device has a plurality of electromagnetic relays and uses a common base plate with which stems of the electromagnetic relays are formed integrally, and on which a wiring member is formed by resin molding. The wiring member on the common base plate is projected from the molded resin to define a fixed contact member of each electromagnetic relay. Each relay unit assembly of each electromagnetic relay except for the fixed contact member thereof is secured to the common base plate such that a movable iron piece is driven in parallel with a surface of the common base plate. The construction of the resultant relay device is compact, the relay properties are readily adjusted, and the number of parts can be reduced.
