  • Patent number: 9865385
Abstract: A linear solenoid has a coil, a plunger, a magnetic attractive core, and a magnetic delivery core. The coil generates a magnetic force when being energized. The plunger is supported to be movable in an axial direction on an inner side of the coil. The magnetic attractive core magnetically attracts the plunger in the axial direction by the magnetic force generated by the coil. The magnetic delivery core delivers a magnetic flux to an outer surface of the plunger. A shaft that is non-magnetic and extends in the axial direction is fixed on the inner side of the coil. The plunger has a shaft hole defined around an axial center of the plunger, and the shaft is inserted in the shaft hole. The plunger slides while being in contact with the shaft. One end of the shaft is fixed to the magnetically attractive core.

  • Patent number: 9401241
Abstract: A solenoid coil assembly for hazardous environments comprises a solenoid coil and an enclosure entirely filled with encapsulation material. The encapsulation material leaves zero or almost zero volume in the enclosure for hazardous material to accumulate in any amount that could explode. This allows the solenoid coil assembly to be constructed without the usual industry standard flame paths. Additionally, the enclosure may be made of physically rigid and strong material such as metal or the like to better withstand harsh and corrosive conditions within hazardous environments without being explosion proof. The walls of such an enclosure need only have a moderate thickness and weight relative to enclosures that are explosion proof, as there is no meaningful risk of an explosion occurring within the enclosure. The combination of a rugged exterior and a zero-volume interior allows the solenoid coil assembly to reduce weight and cost while providing superior environmental protection.

  • Patent number: 7131426
Abstract: To effectively prevent uneven wear of a moving mover 70 and to stabilize the control characteristics by a valve. Rotation force is exerted to the mover 70 by the fluid flowing from the first chamber to the second chamber, or vice versa, which are formed at the opposite ends of the mover 70. With respect to a flow passageway 110 formed within an anchor 72 and for allowing passage of the fluid therethrough, there are provided a passageway portion 111 which is disposed along the axial direction and another passageway portion 112 which crosses the axial direction. By this, rotation force is generated at the time the fluid passes from the former passageway portion 111 to the latter passageway portion 112 (or vice versa) which crosses the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 6870455
Abstract: A novel solenoid assembly is shown to include a solenoid having an armature and a delay member. The delay member delays movement of the armature from a first position to a second position until some desired condition occurs, for example, until a desired period of time has passed, until the solenoid is capable of generating a desired amount of force or until the current applied to the solenoid reaches a desired level. In a preferred embodiment, the delay member is a spring positioned to bias the armature against movement until the desired condition has occurred. In such an embodiment, the spring may be positioned to exert force against a shoulder formed on the armature. It is also preferred for the solenoid assembly to include a spacer, positioned between the solenoid and the mechanism being controlled by the solenoid. The spacer serves to space the armature from the mechanism when the armature is in the first position.

  • Patent number: 6840497
Abstract: An electromagnet (10) for actuating a hydraulic on-off valve (11), has a wet-type configuration and its armature (31) is displaced in a pressure pipe (18) when a volume of oil is switched through a throttling site (35) in such a way that switching speed can be influenced. The electromagnet (10) has a manual emergency actuation device (43) in the pressure pipe (18). If necessary, the actuating bolts (44) of said device can be engaged with a throttle screw (39) by an interlocking connection (45, 42) in order to displace said throttle screw that is arranged in the armature (31). The switching speed of the distributing valve (11) can be easily regulated from the outside when the electromagnets (10) are mounted, without impairing functioning of the manual emergency actuation device.
