Individually Responsive To Diverse Conditions Or Of Diverse Characteristics Patents (Class 337/308)
  • Patent number: 11073239
Abstract: A thermostatic steam trap includes a lower casing; an upper casing secured with the lower casing; and a mechanism that is operatively secured with the lower casing and the upper casing and that includes a stack of bimetallic strips. The stack of bimetallic strips includes two opposed cantilevered portions separated by a neutral flexion axis thereof. A stem member slidably extends through the stack of bimetallic strips and the lower casing, and a valve portion includes a valve member that is operatively secured to a first end of the stem member and that selectively closes the valve portion with movement of the cantilevered portions of the stack of bimetallic strips.

  • Patent number: 10036584
Abstract: A beverage dispensing apparatus is characterized by a beverage dispenser and a refrigeration system for chilling beverage to be dispensed by the beverage dispenser. The refrigeration system has a compressor coupled to an evaporator for chilling the beverage, and a controller determines the amount of chilling that must be provided by the refrigeration system to chill the beverage and adjusts cut-in and cut-out beverage temperature set-points for the compressor accordingly. Advantageously, the cut-in and cut-out set-points are adjusted to beverage temperature values such that the chilling capacity of the refrigeration system is made to closely match to the amount of chilling required by the beverage, and also such that on/off cycles of the refrigeration system are decreased.

  • Patent number: 4648246
Abstract: The interior of two metallic bellows is in fluid connection through capillary tubes with temperature sensors. The temperature sensors are located in places whose relative temperature difference should be determined. In the presence of a temperature difference two springs, each fixed between one of the two metallic bellows and a reference indicator, are pressed together whereby the reference indicator is displaced from its neutral position. The magnitude of this displacement is a measure of the temperature difference and is used by means of switching or recording mechanisms to activate a measuring, controlling, regulating or recording process.

  • Patent number: 4617803
Abstract: A temperature controlled switching device in which a first fluid filled temperature sensor responding to the temperature of heating or cooling means moves a first lever. A second sensor sensing the room temperature moves a second lever. The two levers being interconnected to move a snap action switch for control of the heating or cooling means.

  • Patent number: 4055828
Abstract: A control device having a housing carrying a condition responsive unit and an electrical switch to be operated by the condition responsive unit, the housing having a pivotally mounted lever to translate motion from a movable wall of the condition responsive unit to the switch and having a range spring to oppose movement of the movable wall in one direction thereof. An actuator is dispoed between the movable wall of the condition responsive unit and the range spring and is engagable therewith, the actuator being unitary between the movable wall and the range spring and carrying a pin that is operatively associated with the lever to cause pivoting movement of the lever as the actuator is moved relative to the housing. A push rod unit translates motion between the lever and the switch, the push rod unit having a pivot bearing arrangement therein to compensate for different pivot movements of the lever and the switch.
