Abstract: The combustion device according to the invention produces gases containing CO2 and water vapor and comprises a circulating fluidized bed reaction chamber (1, 2), a separator (10, 20), heat recovery means of which a part is situated in a dense fluidized bed (12, 12a, 22), wherein the part located in the bed of the heat recovery system(s) is composed of catalyst tubes (120, 120a, 220) through which a gas mixture flows. The gas mixture is composed of natural gas and/or naphtha or refinery gas or two or more of these gases. The gas undergoes reformation which converts it into a synthesis gas containing hydrogen. The fact of the catalyst tubes being situated in the dense fluidized bed made up of ashes from the combustion allows the catalyst to be reheated in a homogenous manner and the reforming reaction of the natural gas mixture to be stimulated.
Abstract: A dryer for an electrode substrate of a rechargeable battery according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a drying oven for drying an electrode substrate by feeding the electrode substrate to an inlet and discharging it through an outlet; fixed guide rolls provided at a distance from each other between the inlet and the outlet to guide the electrode substrate; lifting guide rolls ascended or descended at one side of the respective fixed guide rolls to guide the moving electrode substrate; driving rolls disposed to correspond to locations of the lifting guide rolls; and a shuttle moving toward the outlet from the inlet.

Abstract: An oxidation furnace for the oxidative treatment of fibers, in particular for producing carbon fibers, with a housing which is gas-tight, apart from passage areas for the carbon fibers, and a process chamber located in the interior of the housing. Hot air can be blown into the process chamber by at least one air inlet device. Deflecting rollers flanking the process chamber guide the fibers arranged side by side in the form of a carpet through the process chamber in a serpentine manner, wherein each fiber carpet spans a plane between opposite deflecting rollers. The air inlet device allows hot to be diverted to the side of the deflecting rollers facing away from the process chamber such that hot air flows over the respective deflecting roller and the fibers before it enters the process chamber.

Abstract: Device for dewatering and drying solids, especially plastics granulated under water, in form of a centrifuge dryer comprising a housing (1) having an inlet opening (2) for the solid material with adhering water and an outlet opening (3) for the dehydrated solid material, a screen cylinder (4) fixedly disposed inside the housing (1), a rotor (5) arranged inside the screen cylinder (4) and wings (6) attached to the rotor at a distance from one another, a water drain (7), and arrangements (8, 8?) for the introduction and removal of an air stream passing vertically through the device. It is distinguished on the one hand in that the inlet opening (2) is arranged tangential to the screen cylinder (4, 10).

Abstract: A method and apparatus achieve a more sustainable lift of a wet or heavy pulp web from a pulp machine to the topmost drying level of a pulp drying, allowing the speed of production to be increased and runnability problems to be minimized. The pulp web is lifted from the last press of the pulp machine to the topmost of the drying levels of the pulp dryer by supporting the web on a support wire. The pulp may be passed through the topmost drying level, and one or two other levels, also supported by a support wire, but in subsequent levels the pulp web is preferably supported only by an air cushion. In each level drying gas is blown toward the pulp web (preferably from both above and below the web) to effect drying, and the web passes around turning rolls between each drying level to enter the next, lower, drying level. The support wire may be of metal or plastic, and has a texture significantly coarser than the texture of wires commonly used in pulp machines.
Abstract: A drying apparatus for sliced veneer sheets having a conveying system comprising two superposed conveyor belts lying one above the other which are guided over a drying path around guide members. The drying path includes both rectilinear and curvilinear sections and includes a three roller configuration for making a one hundred eighty degree turn in the drying path. The drying path is designed to provide for pressing of the veneer and to allow for the effects of shrinking of the veneer during the drying process.
