Plural Opposed Cooperating Endless Conveyors Patents (Class 34/662)
  • Patent number: 6742277
Abstract: A hot air drying apparatus for noodles which makes possible steady production of high quality instant noodles by blowing hot air at an optimal velocity and in an optimal flow rate all over noodle ribbons to be dried in a short period of time and thereby makes a texture of noodle ribbons uniform and fine is to be provided. In a hot air drying apparatus, a conveyor runs from one end of a lengthwise direction of this apparatus to the other, and noodle ribbons carried from a preceding step riding on this conveyor move within an apparatus at a prescribed speed. The apparatus includes a plurality of drying chambers D1, D2, D3, D4, D5 and so forth into which it is divided in the lengthwise direction.

  • Patent number: 6442865
Abstract: Drying section of a machine for producing a material web. The drying section includes a support roll with an associated impingement dryer, and at least one straight or curved section forming at least a part of a closed path between a last nip of a press section adjacent the drying section and the support roll. The support roll and the impingement dryer are arranged to guide the material web over the support roll, and, thereby, to subject the material web to at least one of hot air and hot steam impingement. The at least one straight or slightly curved section is structured and arranged to form at least one of an impingement drying section and a transfer foil section.

  • Patent number: 5848483
Abstract: A veneer drying apparatus comprises a pair of upper and lower hot plates connected to a heating unit and a plurality of steam escape grooves formed in the opposing press surfaces of the upper and lower hot plates. The apparatus further comprises intermittently driven endless belts and driving and driven rollers on the unloading and loading ends, respectively, of the lower hot plate. The endless belts are trained over the driving and driven rollers for transferring veneer P over the upper surface of the lower hot plate. Each endless belt has numerous apertures formed in the entire surface thereof in a regular pattern. The driving rollers have numerous protrusions formed on the periphery thereof for engaging in the apertures formed in the endless belts. The endless belts are smoothly driven by rotation of the driving rollers due to the protrusion-aperture engagement.

  • Patent number: 5584477
Abstract: A paper delivery apparatus of a printing machine includes a holding device having at least a pair of rotating members fitted, in the vicinity of both side edges of printed sheets, with a paper receiving section for holding the side edges of the printed sheets ejected from the printing machine, a driving device for rotating the rotating member to move downward in succession the printed sheets held on the paper receiving section. A paper stacking section disposed beneath the rotating body for holding the printed sheets which have been released from the paper receiving section; and a space between the paper receiving section for holding one side edge of the printed sheet and the paper receiving section for holding the other side edge of the printed sheet is set narrower at the lower part of the rotating member for discharging the printed sheet than at the upper part of the rotating member for receiving the printed sheet.

  • Patent number: 5553633
Abstract: Apparatus for treating printed circuit boards or other items is provided, wherein a drying apparatus is specifically provided, generally for use as part of a cleaning or other treatment apparatus, but which can be separately provided, if desired. The drying apparatus employs preferably warm air discharge tubes, for drying items of varying thicknesses, and/or that have varying thicknesses of components mounted thereon. Generally, the printed circuit or other items are carried through the apparatus between upper and lower foraminous conveyor belts, with one of the belts, conforming to the varying thicknesses of the items, or components carried by the items. While some of the air discharge tubes may be stationarily mounted, at least some of them are pivotally mounted, such that their discharge opening zones can slide along and conform to variations in thickness. The discharge tube will pivot in response to the varying thicknesses.
