  • Patent number: 11307552
Abstract: In order to enable a seamless configuration modification during operation, a first automation device sends a second automation device a request for parameter modification. The second automation device responds to the request, such that a standby acknowledgement of the request is sent. Immediately with the transmission of the standby acknowledgement in the second automation device, an output process image is frozen, and the modification of the communication parameters for the second automation device is carried out. The first automation device responds, such that after receiving the standby acknowledgement in the first automation device, the communication is immediately stopped and the modification of the communication parameters is carried out for the first automation device. An input process image is frozen.

Immediate notification of failure of utility power or of individual lamp or ballast failure is provided by SMS messaging formatted so as to minimize the number of messages and reduce communications costs. The monitor/control system is also adapted for use in remote power monitoring applications to automatically switch to standby power (generator) in the absence of primary power and to return to primary power when restored.

Abstract: For enhancing the operational safety of an electric drive unit of a vehicle comprising a generator, which is operated by a combustion machine, and drive motors, which are connected to said generator via a direct-voltage intermediate circuit, the generator and drive motors are each subdivided into partial units, and these partial units have partial power electronics units associated therewith. The mutually corresponding partial units of generator, motors and power electronics units each constitute a drive circuit of their own, with control signals being supplied to components thereof by a specifically assigned system control unit. The system control units that are interconnected via an information exchange channel can undertake compensation measures in their drive circuit or in the other drive circuits in the event of a complete or partial failure of a drive circuit.

  • Patent number: 6756907
Abstract: The present invention describes a maintenance support system that can be used to automatically isolate defective components in a complex electrical apparatus. The system includes programming instructions that activate individual components of the electrical operation in a non-operational sequence, while collecting performance data for each tested component. Performance data is provided by existing feedback devices in the apparatus as well as by additional sensors which are a part of the new system. All collected data and available background information are analyzed by programming instructions that consider, among other things, the probability of failure in certain components. The final outcome is a component replacement recommendation on a local or remote computer display that combines the performance data, history, probability and operational knowledge of the apparatus, thereby improving the performance of service personnel.
