For Bicycle Patents (Class 340/432)
  • Patent number: 9013285
Abstract: In a method for displaying warning signals using an electronic device while riding a bicycle, the method firstly detects any acceleration of the electronic device in three predefined axes in real time using a gravity sensor of the electronic device, and detects any angular velocity of the electronic device around any of the three predefined axes using a gyroscope of the electronic device. Secondly, the method determines a current driving condition of the bicycle according to any detected acceleration and any detected angular velocity of the electronic device. The method displays warning signals on the display screen of the electronic device according to the current driving condition of the bicycle.

Abstract: A two-way interactive light control device includes a plurality of lamps. Each lamp includes a microcomputer processer, a controlling code setting unit, a controlled code setting unit, a signal transmitting and receiving unit, a light drive unit and light emitting diodes. When the device is started, it can receive a wireless signal automatically and decode to identify whether the lamp is the same product. If there is no same lamp around, the device will set itself as the controller to keep searching the same lamps and to drive the light emitting diodes to twinkle. When the device receives a signal from the same lamps, the same lamps will be the controlled with their light emitting diodes to twinkle synchronously. Thus, when many same lamps meet, they can provide safe and warning effects.

Abstract: System, device and method for providing public, high-density bicycle storage and protection from elements and theft. System includes overhead conveyors from which bicycles are hung in a near side/far side arrangement where handlebars of only every other bicycle are aligned. Bicycles are rolled into a loading station on their back wheels by user and secured, from the front wheel, to a hook that is removably coupled to a load hoist. Access to loading station is controlled by an access control panel. Load hoist lifts the hook to place the bicycle in a hanging position. Robotic arm of a robotic elevator grasps, retracts and lowers (or raises) the bicycle into a multilevel storage area and onto overhead conveyors. Users may be bike-share users or storage users who store the particular bicycle they own.

  • Patent number: 8381881
Abstract: A brake sensor apparatus is provided, including a base unit, a movement unit, a spring, a first buckle unit and a second buckle unit. The movement unit is partially confined inside the base unit so that the movement of the movement unit is restricted to a short distance and along the direction of the base unit. The spring is to allow the retracted movement unit to be moved to the original position. The first buckle unit and the second buckle unit are engaged respectively to the outer wall of base unit and movement unit, and can be hanged and buckled to the positions of brake wire of the brake. In this manner, when the bicycle brakes, the movement unit is retracted into the base unit so as to trigger the trigger switch to connect the connected circuit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for setting the wheel size of a bicycle (1, 2) on a bicycle computer (3) using input means (4, 5) on the bicycle computer (3). The aim is to be able to set the bicycle computer to the correct wheel size in a simpler and more reliable, virtually automatic, manner. This is achieved in that the bicycle computer (3) has at least two input means (4, 5) for at least two wheel sizes, in that a transmission means (6, 7), which can be assigned to the bicycle (1, 2), is provided for transmitting the wheel size of the bicycle (1, 2), and in that the transmission means (6, 7) interacts exclusively with that input means (4, 5) of the bicycle computer (3) which corresponds to the wheel size of the bicycle (1, 2).

  • Patent number: 8285474
Abstract: Enabled is to lighten the load on a rider and to make the rider senses a turning state at the turning time of a transverse two-wheeled vehicle. A transverse acceleration (a) at a turn controlling time is detected to make a next inclination control in accordance with the magnitude of the acceleration. (a) In the case of an acceleration (a)?a predetermined threshold (a0), the vehicle is left uninclined to prevent the vehicle body from being unnecessarily inclined and rocked against a small centrifugal force, thereby to improve the riding comfortableness. (b) In the case of the acceleration (a)>the threshold (a0), a riding portion is inclined such that the inclination angle ?1 may become the larger as the acceleration (a) becomes the higher. This can reduce the load on the rider against the centrifugal force.
