Abstract: A method and system for simplifying a vehicle interface to provide local connectivity to various vehicle systems are disclosed. The vehicle interface is simplified across many vehicle types and configurations by deploying a local wireless connection.

Abstract: This invention is a maintenance/inspection support apparatus including an inspection information storage section storing inspection information of a plurality of equipments serving as maintenance/inspection targets, an inspection information write section for writing, in a noncontact manner, the inspection information stored in the inspection information storage section on a plurality of information recording media corresponding to the plurality of equipments, an inspection information read section for reading, in a noncontact manner, the inspection information written on the information recording media by the inspection information write section, and a display section for displaying the inspection information read by the inspection information read section.
Abstract: An electrically controllable motor vehicle door lock, a motor vehicle door lock system with such a motor vehicle door lock, and a process for controlling the motor vehicle door lock. Simple and optimum adjustability of the functionality of the motor vehicle door lock is enabled by storing control parameters which determine the functionality of the motor vehicle door lock in an electrical storage. The control parameters are adaptable and can be changed so that the functionality of the motor vehicle door lock is fixed by its control parameters. Moreover, different control parameters or sets of control parameters can be used for different functioning states or closing states of the motor vehicle door lock, and therefore, the conditions for the passage from one state into another state of the motor vehicle door lock can be fixed regardless of which states or combination possibilities occur.
Abstract: Plural security units are coupled to plural control units through a communication line including transmission and response lines. Each control unit detects data collision on the transmission line to avoid the data collision. Re-transmission interval is independently assigned to each control unit. If the command to or from a security unit in charge of this control unit is received, the control unit rewrites the conditional data of the security unit in accordance with the detected command. The control (security) unit further includes a transmission (response) line monitoring portion, so that bi-directional communication is provided in addition of the response (transmission) line monitoring portion. Address data is classified to provide all unit communication, a group communication, and independent communications.
Abstract: An automated vehicle parking system for a plurality of remote parking facilities that communicates with a vehicle approaching or leaving the remote facility with RF signals, or the like, that identifies the vehicle and sends the vehicle identification number, time of day, and lane number to a first computer at the remote facility for calculating the parking cost of a given vehicle based on rates for said given individual vehicle stored in the first computer of each of the plurality of remote parking facilities and having a central computer coupled to each remote facility for providing a single bill to a user of several remote facilities and advising each remote facility first computer of the total fees due for all users of that remote facility during specified periods.
