A contour extraction unit extracts, as an adjustment image, a contour of the short distance image, and a display image generation unit generates an output image on the basis of the adjustment image and displays the output image on an image display unit. The user moves his/her hand while viewing the output image displayed on the image display unit so that his/her hand overlaps with the region of the hand in the output image.

Once these values are calculated, a subsequent refinement step may be applied in which light source tessellations are used to flash a structure onto targeted components of the scene, where initial near-interaction disparity values have been calculated. The combination of a spherical stereo algorithm, and smoothing with structured light source tessellations, provides for a very reliable and fast near-field depth engine, and resolves issues that are associated with depth estimates for embedded solutions of this approach.

Edits made to the source image may automatically be transferred to target images by warping those edits via the optimized warp function for the respective target images.

    Abstract: A graphical user interface displays a shape. Further, a buffer region that is adjacent to an edge of the shape is displayed at the graphical user interface. In addition, a set of drawing data located within the buffer region is received from a user input device. A first subset of the drawing data that is located in the buffer region at a predetermined distance from the edge and a second subset of the drawing data in the buffer region that is located at a distance from the edge that exceeds the predetermined distance are determined with a processor. Further, the first subset of drawing data is displayed. In addition, the second subset of drawing data is prevented from being displayed at the distance. The process also displays the second subset of drawing data at the predetermined distance.
