  • Patent number: 10637107
Abstract: A vehicle communication system includes: a control device 10B provided in a vehicle; and a management device 50 that is provided in a battery 20 mounted on the vehicle while communicably connected to the control device 10B. One of the control device 10B and the management device 50 discriminates a communication specification of the other and switches the communication specification. In this configuration, consistency of the communication specification is attained between the control device 10B of the vehicle and the battery 20, so that disability of communication between the control device 10B and the battery 20 can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 10318836
Abstract: A system and method of designating regions of interest for surveillance cameras is disclosed. The system enables definition of regions of interest simultaneously across multiple cameras. This is useful when the cameras are positioned to monitor the same region of interest within their scenes. Each camera monitors image data for designation of regions of interest, stores the regions of interest, and analyzes the image data from the cameras based on the regions of interest. Preferably, each camera has an integrated analytics system for analyzing the image data based on the regions of interest. A setup process between a user device (e.g. mobile phone) and the cameras enables definition of the regions of interest. In embodiments, the regions of interest are defined in response to the cameras tracking either the user device or an optical device as an operator moves the devices to outline the regions of interest within the scene.

  • Patent number: 10192414
Abstract: A system and method for overlap detection in a surveillance camera network is disclosed. An analytics system of the system receives image data captured from the cameras and detects motion within the image data. The analytics system then correlates detected motion among the image data from the different cameras and determines overlap of fields of view of the cameras. In a preferred embodiment, a mobile user device held by an installer is moved through a critical path at the premises while the cameras are capturing the image data, and the analytics system determines whether the user device/installer is included in the image data from at least two of the cameras. In another embodiment, the analytics system determines overlap by determining correlated motion detection events associated with motion occurring at substantially the same time in image data from two or more different surveillance cameras and inferring that the motion is related.

  • Patent number: 9916507
Abstract: A network device determines an exposure time associated with an image sensor coupled to a spacecraft for capturing an image of a target object orbiting the Earth. The network device computes a maximum relative angular velocity associated with the target object based on the exposure time and a dimension of a pixel of the image sensor. The network device identifies a first pointing direction of the image sensor for initiating a search for the target object. The network device generates a first angular velocity probability distribution map for the target object and divides the first angular velocity probability distribution map into a first set of angular velocity regions (AVRs). The network device selects a first AVR from the first set of AVRs for scanning by the image sensor and generates a search schedule that includes a first entry for informing the spacecraft to scan the first AVR.

  • Patent number: 9746616
Abstract: An optical module of a micro spectrometer with tapered slit and slit structure thereof. The optical module includes an input section and a micro diffraction grating. The input section includes a slit structure, which receives a first optical signal and outputs a second optical signal travelling along a first optical path. The slit structure includes a substrate and a slit, which penetrates through the substrate and has a gradually reduced dimension from a first surface of the substrate to a second surface of the substrate. The micro diffraction grating, disposed on the first optical path, receives the second optical signal and separates the second optical signal into a plurality of spectrum components travelling along a second optical path.

  • Patent number: 9724795
Abstract: A tooling system that includes a drive unit configured to provide rotational force to a tool member. The tool member is attached at a mount on the drive unit. A camera associated with the drive unit is aligned to capture a target on the tool member. The data is sent to a controller that identifies the tool member based on the target. The controller determines whether the tool member is correct for performing an operation on a work piece. If the tool member is correct, the controller may set one or more operating parameters on the drive unit. If the controller determines that the tool member is not correct, the drive unit is disabled. Further, a signal may be sent to inform an operator of the issue.
