Color Tv Patents (Class 348/111)
  • Patent number: 7847818
Abstract: The present invention is directed to eliminate mistaken recognition of the presence of the disc even when displaying the presence of the disc with one light emitting element. In a television incorporating a slot-in type disc loader in which an LED emits light with a pulse signal output from an output terminal of the microcomputer when the power is turned OFF, which light of the LED is interrupted by the insertion of the disc thereby turning ON the power, the display control signal fixed to “L” is output from the output terminal when the pulse signal “L/H” is input to the input terminal of the microcomputer from the disc detecting section when the power is turned OFF and the disc is not inserted. The light emitting diode does not flash and is in a light out state by the display control signal, and thus the fact that the disc is not present in the slot is accurately notified.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus in which compressed picture information of different compression encoding formats may be generated and recorded on different recording mediums without enlarging the size of the apparatus. An MPEG2 encoder 2 is supplied with the picture information and encodes the input information in the MPEG 2 format under control by a CPU 3 to generate an MPEG 2. A hard disc drive 5 records the MPEG2 bitstream on the hard disc under control by the CPU 3. The CPU 3 boots a software on a memory to perform transcode processing to generate an MPEG 4 bitstream from the MPEG2 bitstream. The motion vector as found in transiently decoding the MPEG2 bitstream into the picture information is inherited and re-used as the motion vector for the MPEG 4 bitstream. A memory card drive 6 records the MPEG 4 bitstream on the memory card under control by the CPU 3.

  • Patent number: 5815202
Abstract: A method and apparatus for scanning an image using a moving lens scanning system is described. The present invention moves film through a pin registered film gate, creating a projected image. A light source exposes images on the film in the film gate. The projected image passes through a lens and exposes a sensor, for example, a CCD camera. The sensor converts the section of the projected image exposed to it into electronic signals, and transfers that data out of the sensor. In one embodiment, the position of the film gate relative to the lens and sensor is adjustable to accommodate different size film formats. A rectangular sensor is used having a width narrower than the projected image width, and a height corresponding to the height of the projected image.

  • Patent number: 5808667
Abstract: An index image which shows plural frames on a film strip within a film cartridge and/or a film image in one frame are displayed on a display. Information relating to automatic regeneration or automatic printing for regenerating plural film images on the film sequentially and automatically is entered by an user who is looking at the display. The entered automatic regeneration information or automatic printing information are recorded in a record medium which corresponds to the film cartridge. When the automatic regeneration or automatic printing is performed, the film player reads out the automatic regeneration information or the automatic printing information from the record medium, and automatically regenerates or prints the plural film images on the film strip in accordance with the readout automatic regeneration information or automatic printing information.

  • Patent number: 5805247
Abstract: In an active matrix type liquid crystal display apparatus, respective ones of the electrodes on a substrate are provided so that an electric field substantially parallel to the substrate can be supplied to a liquid crystal layer. Polarizers for changing the optical characteristics based on the alignment of the liquid crystal layer are provided, as well as a shielding layer formed in parallel to the image signal electrodes on the substrate. The specific resistivity of the shielding layer is less than 10.sup.8 .OMEGA..multidot.cm.
