Plural Bias Illuminators Patents (Class 348/261)
  • Patent number: 9703175
Abstract: Method and systems for autofocus triggering focusing are disclosed herein. In one example, a system may include a lens, a memory component configured to store lens parameters of the lens and regions of focus corresponding to the lens parameters, and a processor coupled to the memory and the lens. The processor may be configured to focus the lens on a target object at a first instance of time, receive information indicative of distances from an imaging device to the target object over a period of time, obtain lens parameters of the lens, and determine a region of focus, and trigger the lens to re-focus on the target object if the distance to the target object indicates the target object is outside of the region of focus and the distance to the target object is unchanged for a designated time period.

  • Patent number: 8295641
Abstract: A reflectance image that represents a reflectance distribution, and an illuminance component image that represents an illuminance distribution are generated from an input image. A plurality of small regions, which are divided based on illuminance components of the generated illuminance component image, are specified. A quantized image is generated from the reflectance image for respective specified small regions. Regions having equal quantized pixel values are acquired in the quantized image. Representative pixel values for the respective acquired regions are acquired based on the illuminance component image. Quantized pixel values of the respective acquired regions are corrected using the acquired representative pixel values.

  • Patent number: 8284279
Abstract: A multispectral imaging method and system is provided. A multispectral imaging method of the present invention includes determining an on-off combination of a plurality of light sources illuminating a scene; illuminating the scene with the light sources according to the on-off combination selected on the basis of a first control signal generated by a microcontroller; capturing an image of the scene by operating a camera on the basis of a second control signal synchronized with the first control signal; determining a plurality of spectral basis functions and weights of the spectral basis functions; and acquiring a continuous spectral reflectance by summing values obtained by multiplying the spectral basis functions and respective weights. The multispectral imaging method of the present invention is practical and efficient in that a continuous spectral reflectance image can be acquired with a minimized number of measurements required for obtaining spectral reflectance.

  • Publication number: 20030202112
Abstract: A video call monitor manager creates a video call monitor engine for initiated video calls between plural video devices with the video call monitor engine having a monitoring thread for each video device of the video call, the monitor threads periodically polling their associated video devices for quality of service and state information to automatically detect quality of service threshold rule violations and state changes for broadcast to interested locations, such as video network administrators monitoring the video call. Each video call monitor engine monitors a video call state with a nested state machine structure of device state machines, device monitor state machines and call segment state machines nested to define a call state machine as a video call is initiated, with the call state machine monitoring the video call throughout its life so that interesting call state changes and quality of service changes are detected and broadcast to monitoring clients.

  • Patent number: 5864360
Abstract: In a multi-eye image pick-up apparatus, an optical axis angle controller sets the optical axes of first and second video camera portions at predetermined optical axis angles when a power supply voltage for allowing an image pick-up operation is supplied. When the optical axes of the first and second video camera portions do not cross each other at a position in front of the apparatus, in-focus detection is performed using an overlapping region between image pick-up regions of the first and second video camera portions.
