  • Patent number: 5526048
Abstract: A white balance adjusting device includes a dichroic prism for dividing light reflected from an object into a green-component, a red-component and a blue-component. These primary color components are incident on a first CCD, a second CCD and a third CCD. Based on photometry data from a photometry sensor, an electronic charge accumulating period for the first CCD corresponding to the green-component is determined. Based on a colorimetry by a colorimetry sensor, electronic charge accumulating periods for the second CCD corresponding to the red-component and the third CCD corresponding to the blue-component are determined. When the color temperature is high, the electric charge accumulating period for the second CCD is set to be relatively long, and the electric charge accumulating period for the third CCD is set to be relatively short.

  • Patent number: 5436662
Abstract: In an imaging apparatus capable of expanding a dynamic range image signals of different levels are read simultaneously from a solid-state element whose light-receiving surface is divided. Read 1/2 frame image signals are switched by a changeover switch circuit at intervals of a 1/2 frame time. One of two image signals of different levels supplied from the two outputs of the changeover switch circuit is delayed at a delay circuit. Further, those image signals are separated into r, g, and b components, and then undergo logarithmic conversion into image signals of multiple desired levels. The signals are digitized at an A/D converter and undergo operations at an adder, which adds while keeping their logarithmic characteristic, and at an inverse logarithmic converter. A luminance signal is obtained at a matrix circuit, and is converted into a logarithm at a logarithmic circuit. The lighting irregularity components of the resulting signal are suppressed.

  • Patent number: 5340977
Abstract: A solid-state image pickup device, and in particular, a CCD image sensor is capable of color reading, wherein n lines (n.gtoreq.2) of photo diodes disposing a plurality of photodiodes straightly are disposed parallel adjacently to each other, and adjacent n lines of CCD analog shift registers are disposed parallel to the photodiode lines at one side of the group of n lines of photodiodes, and the signal charges are transferred through a gate structure composed of MOS structure, between adjacent lines of n lines of photodiodes and n lines of CCD analog shift registers. It is therefore possible to reduce the intervals of the photodiode lines to the limit, thereby realizing a CCD color linear image sensor capable of outstandingly simplifying the signal time axis correction circuit such as semiconductor digital memory device for correcting the differences of reading positions of the photodiode lines.
