  • Patent number: 9442653
Abstract: The display control system performs display control according to a position indicated by a pointer on a display panel. The display panel includes pixel regions defined by a black matrix, and a positional information pattern showing a plan position is formed in the display panel. The pointer includes a reader configured to capture an image which is at the indicated position and includes the positional information pattern. The optical system of the reader is formed to have a low resolution so that the black matrix of the display panel is removed.

  • Patent number: 7821557
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for enhancing the speed at which pixel levels are read out and sampled for processing. A method of processing pixel levels includes clamping a pixel readout line to a voltage level less than a voltage corresponding to a signal sensed by an n-MOS pixel. Subsequently, the pixel readout line is coupled to an output of an n-MOS source-follower and the pixel signal is read out onto the pixel readout line through the n-MOS source-follower. The pixel signal that was read out is passed through a p-MOS source-follower to a processing circuit. Before passing the pixel signal through the p-MOS source-follower to the processing circuit, a capacitive storage node in the processing circuit is clamped to a voltage greater than a signal at an input to the p-MOS source-follower. Subsequently, an output of the p-MOS source-follower is coupled to the processing circuit, and a signal corresponding to the pixel signal is stored by the processing circuit.

  • Patent number: 5886659
Abstract: A current-mode analog-to-digital converter based on a current copier circuit with a constant bias current that is independent of the input signals. A second-order incremental .SIGMA.-.DELTA. conversion configuration is implemented. An array of such analog-to-digital converters can be integrated onto the focal plane of an imaging sensor array to achieve column-wise parallel analog-to-digital conversion.

  • Patent number: 5621487
Abstract: A picture display apparatus is provided with a display device having pixels disposed in a mosaic pattern. A plurality of optical filter surfaces are respectively placed between the display device and a viewer so that the both surfaces can be overlapped with each other. Each pixel in the display device is diffracted or refracted by both surfaces to become a plurality of pixels. For each optical filter surface, an element for diffusion such as a diffraction grating and an element for refraction such as a prism can be utilized for the diffraction and refraction.
