Lens Or Filter Substitution Patents (Class 348/360)
  • Patent number: 8593562
Abstract: A refraction at a suitably structured surface for example with an arrangement of the same between image plane and mapping optics is used to realize on the one hand a desired aliasing filtering or spatial low-pass filtering on the image plane wherein on the other hand the manufacturing of such structured surfaces may be realized in a cost-effective way. In addition to that, the plate thickness except for the amplitude of the surface structure and aspects of the stability of the plate is of no importance for handling the same, so that the integration into optical systems is facilitated.

  • Patent number: 8593568
Abstract: A shape memory alloy actuation apparatus comprises a movable element supported on a support structure by a suspension system comprising a plurality of resilient flexures. A shape memory alloy actuator drives movement of the movable element on contraction. An end-stop limits the movement of the movable element in the opposite direction. Rather than using the resilient flexures of the suspension system as the sole biassing means, an additional Massing element biasses the movable element against the SMA actuator. When the moveable element is held against the end-stop, the force applied by the biassing element is greater than the force applied by the flexures of the suspension system. This reduces the design constraints, for example allowing a greater range of movement.

Abstract: An image pickup system includes a lens apparatus, and an image pickup apparatus to which the lens apparatus is detachably attached. The image pickup apparatus controller changes a cycle of a control reference signal for internal processing of the image pickup apparatus, and sends a command of changing the cycle of the control reference signal to the lens controller in synchronization with a post-change control reference signal. The lens controller that has received the command changes the cycle of the control reference signal when the lens apparatus is ready to change the cycle of the control reference signal, and sends to the image pickup apparatus controller information representing whether the lens controller has been able to follow the change of the cycle of the control reference signal.

Abstract: A motor control device includes a counter that counts pulses output from a one-phase encoder according to rotation of a DC motor, and a controller that recognizes rotation number of the DC motor based on the number of pulses counted by the counter. After the DC motor is braked, the controller starts applying a predetermined voltage to the DC motor at first timing before the DC motor stops, and stops applying the predetermined voltage at second timing after the DC motor stops. The controller subtracts the number of pulses generated after the second timing from a value counted by the counter. The predetermined voltage is lower than a lowest voltage necessary for driving a driven object, and is higher than a lowest voltage necessary for rotating the DC motor against an attracting force between a magnet and a coil in the DC motor.
