  • Patent number: 11477410
Abstract: A method to capture microscopy images from multiple image sensors and to relay them to one or more central processing units while minimizing delay in image capture can include the co-optimization of image acquisition hardware, data aggregation digital logic, firmware, and integration with data post processing on the central processing units. The methods can include organizing the incoming image data into data packets containing partial image frames, together with configuring the central processing units to be capable of analyzing the received partial image frames. The quick analysis of the images, e.g., on the partial image frames, can allow the computational system to rapidly respond to the captured images, such as to provide feed back on the captured images before the next images are to be captured.

  • Patent number: 11159702
Abstract: An overhead fixture supports a plurality of cameras used to acquire images associated with a scene during operation of a facility. In one implementation, a first camera is mounted to the overhead fixture to acquire one or more images of a user, while a second camera is mounted to the overhead fixture to acquire one or more images of an inventory location or items at the inventory location. One or more light sources may be mounted on the overhead fixture and activated to produce light. The light may illuminate one or more of the user, the items at the inventory location, or other portions of the scene. Brilliance of the light sources may also obscure the cameras from observation by the user.

  • Patent number: 9716913
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a video mosaic display are disclosed. In an embodiment, an electronic system for generating a video mosaic display of a plurality of video streams includes display buffers, a processor and a display. The processor manages storage of the display buffers for storing video frame windows corresponding to the video streams by scaling resolution of input frames of a first set of video streams that have input frames available and storing the scaled input frames as corresponding video frame windows for the first set of video streams in a first display buffer, and copying, in the first display buffer from a second display buffer, video frame windows corresponding to a second set of video streams for which input frames are not available. The display is configured to display the video mosaic layout based on the video frame windows stored in the display buffers.

  • Patent number: 9634798
Abstract: A processing method and device for packet loss compensation in video-conferencing system are provided. The method includes: when a video conference is held, judging whether terminals participating in the video conference include one or more FEC terminals, if yes, matching code stream processing capabilities of transmitting terminal and receiving terminal between FEC terminals which transmit a code stream or between an FEC terminal and an ordinary terminal which transmit code stream, and converting a data code stream transmission rate of the transmitting terminal into a bearable data code stream rate of the receiving terminal. The device includes a judgment component and a matching component. The solution enables a terminal with packet loss to activate an FEC function to compensate lost data, and also enables an ordinary terminal without packet loss to keep an original data code stream rate for communication, thereby maximally ensuring the image quality of the video-conferencing system.

Abstract: A video conference cross-links at least a portion of the clients for point to point communication while still using a video conference server. The video conference server continues to manage some aspects of the video conference for the cross-linked clients and may be configured to perform audio/video processing for some of the clients in a video conference. For example, the video conference server may perform audio/video processing and routing of streams for clients that do not have the capabilities to perform the processing directly. Clients that are able to process their audio/video needs may directly connect to other clients through cross-links while still using the video conference server for management.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for receiving multimedia from a plurality of endpoints participating in a conference session, including multimedia from an endpoint that was muted during the conference session. A muting state is detected at a particular endpoint during the conference session and the multimedia from the particular endpoint is recorded even though it is not forwarded and rendered to the other endpoints during the conference session. Information associated with the multimedia data for the conference session is stored to indicate the time period during which the muting state was detected at the particular endpoint. Techniques are also provided for granting access at a later time to the stored multimedia data for conference session, including access controls to the muted multimedia.

  • Patent number: 8175325
Abstract: Watermark information (denoted WM) consists of several symbols which are embedded continuously by reference sequence modulation in an audio or a video signal. At decoder site the WM is regained using correlation of the received signal with a corresponding reference sequence. The symbols form watermark data frames. The invention uses for the bit values ‘zero’ and ‘one’ in each payload symbol and for each payload symbol in a watermark data frame different reference sequences, without using synchronisation symbols. A logarithmic search is performed in the WM decoder to reduce the numbers of correlations to be calculated. The invention makes watermarking of critical sound signals much more robust.

  • Patent number: 7170546
Abstract: A system for providing, in a television system, the combination, transmission, and reception of multiple video presentations over a single channel of a television distribution system. Presentations may be concurrently broadcast for viewing by many users, as well as interactively requested for display by many (potentially one thousand or more) individual users. A presentation consists of a sequence of images which reproduce a full motion, reduced motion, or a still image video presentation for the user when displayed. The signal is transmitted in a standard television format, and consists of a sequence of video images from the various presentations being transmitted. A user terminal receiving the transmitted signal is selectably operable to display one of the multiple transmitted presentations with accompanying audio. The terminal identifies the video images on an associated television receiver. The number of concurrent presentations, and the degree of motion in the presentations are dynamically variable.

  • Patent number: 6226043
Abstract: A video signal transmitting apparatus is arranged by a multiplexing unit for multiplexing digital R (red), R (green), B (blue) video signals in a time divisional manner; and for inserting a synchronization corresponding signal into the digital R, G, B video signals during the multiplexing operation to thereby output the digital R, G, B video signals with the synchronization corresponding signal. Since such a timing signal for notifying the multiplex timing is also contained in the transmitted analog R, G, B signals, the timing signal required to demultiplex the digital R, G, B video signals which have been multiplexed in the time divisional manner is no longer transmitted irrespective of the video signal when the video signal is transmitted. Accordingly, neither the transmitting apparatus, nor the transmission path is required by which the timing signal is transmitted.
