Arrangements For Multiplexing One Video Signal, One Or More Audio Signals, And A Synchronizing Signal Patents (Class 348/423.1)
  • Patent number: 8783874
Abstract: Methods and systems for a compressive optical display and imager using optical scanning and selection and three-dimensional beamforming optics. Standard pixel data can generate a compressed image data set having custom pixel sizes, locations, and intensities. A 3-D beamformer optic adjusts its focus to produce the largest focused beam spot on the display screen corresponding to an image zone compressed pixel. Using scan mirror angular controls, display image space is painted using minimal numbers of laser beam spots whose sizes depend on the compressed sensed image. The imager includes movable reflecting optics to reflect an optical image and controllable imaging optics to pass the reflected optical image toward a digital micromirror that reflects +/?? optical beams into +/? ? optical beam paths. A controller controls reflecting optics and agile front end imaging optics to receive an electronic image signal corresponding to detected +/?? optical beams.

Abstract: A projection system and an operation method thereof are provided. The projection system includes a video and audio source, an image duplication unit, a plurality of image segmentation units, and a plurality of projectors. The video and audio source receives a sum image parameter, and provides a non-standard format image. The image duplication unit receives and sends one of sum image parameters to the video and audio source. The image segmentation units provide the same sum image parameters, though only one is transmitted to the video and audio source through the image duplication unit. Each of the image segmentation units receives the non-standard format image, and segments a part of the non-standard format image as a standard format image, where the standard format images are partially overlapped with each other. The projectors are respectively coupled to the corresponding image segmentation unit, and display according to the corresponding standard format image.

RS encoding the multiplexed additional and main data, interleaving the RS-encoded additional and main data, trellis encoding the interleaved additional and main data, and transmitting a Radio Frequency (RF) DTV signal including the trellis-encoded additional and main data. The method to process the DTV signal includes receiving the DTV signal including the additional data multiplexed with the main data through an antenna, in which signaling information is periodically inserted in the additional data. The received DIV signal is demodulated including performing channel equalization on the demodulated DTV signal. Trellis decoding is performed on the channel-equalized DIV signal.

Abstract: Systems and methods of detecting blocks of commercial content in video data are described. In one aspect, visual parameter values and audio parameter values are extracted from the video data. Visual boundary events, audio boundary events, and commercial content transition events are detected in the video data. Candidate commercial blocks of consecutive commercial content are detected in the video data from a combination of the detected visual boundary events and the detected audio boundary events. Each of the candidate commercial blocks is defined between respective candidate starting and ending boundary points. Ones of the starting and ending boundary points of the candidate commercial blocks are adjusted based on occurrence of one or more of the detected commercial content transition events within temporal windows respectively encompassing the starting and ending points.

Abstract: As shown in FIG. 7, a data receiver receives video data and audio data together with a frequency division parameter N that depends on the pixel clock of the video data and the sampling frequency of the audio data, and a count value CTS that is obtained by counting the period of the audio clock that has been subjected to frequency division by the frequency division parameter N, with the pixel clock, which are transmitted from a data transmitter, and subjects the pixel clock to frequency division by the count value CTS, phase-control the divided clock (s501) in accordance with a phase comparison clock (s505) that is obtained by dividing an audio clock (s403) oscillated from a VCO (504) by the frequency division parameter N, thereby generating an audio clock (s403). Accordingly, the data transmitter and the data receiver can satisfactorily implement multiplexing of audio data and video data, and transmission of the multiplexed data using an existing DVI cable, with a simple structure.
