  • Patent number: 10791309
Abstract: Transmission of HDR image data is satisfactorily performed between apparatuses. A transmission apparatus (synchronized apparatus) transmits the HDR image data to a reception apparatus (source apparatus) over a transmission path. At that time, the transmission apparatus transmits information on a transmission method for and/or information on gamma correction for the HDR image data to the reception apparatus over the transmission path. The reception apparatus performs processing (decoding processing, gamma correction processing, and the like) on the received HDR image data, based on the information on the transmission method and/or the information on the gamma correction that are received. For example, the transmission apparatus receives from the reception apparatus the pieces of information on the transmission method and/or the gamma correction that the reception apparatus can support, selects the method that the reception apparatus can support, and thus uses the selected method.

Abstract: A document scanner comprises first and second image sensor units (30,32), each having an array of electromagnetic radiation detectors (44) situated adjacent circuitry (42) for operating the detectors. A scanning mechanism (70,72,76,78,80) causes relative movement between the detectors and a document to cause the detectors to scan the document along a scanning direction. The array of detectors of the first unit (30) is situated ahead of the array of detectors of the second unit (32) in said scanning direction, the orientation of the detectors of the first unit with respect to their circuitry thus being the reverse of that of the detectors of the second unit, thereby to reduce the distance, in the scanning direction, between the two arrays.

Abstract: A source terminal to output audio and video data to an external output device acquires and stores connection information during a connection to the external output device, in which the connection information may be stored for a future connection to the same external output device. Also, the source device may configure audio and video data to be transmitted to the external output device using the stored connection information, and transmit the configured audio and video data to the external output device. A method for connecting to the external output device includes detecting a connection between a source terminal and an external output device, determining whether connection information of the external output device is stored in the source terminal, retrieving connection information of the external output device, configuring audio and video data for the external output device using the connection information, and transmitting the configured data to the external output device.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a video data processing apparatus which receives a data file includes a file receiving module, an analyzer, a default data storage module, a data restoration module, and a management module. The data file includes a header, in which a header key field, a header length field, and a header value field are arranged. The analyzer detects a character string, thereby detects a header key field of the data file received by the file receiving module, and reads out header metadata information from a following header value field. The data restoration module discards header data from a first position, in absence of the character string at the first position, and restores default data in the default data storage module instead of the discarded header data. The management module stores the header metadata information and the default data.
