Abstract: A system and method for secure transfer of information facilitating transmission of completely encrypted data at wire speeds to/from one or more destinations is associated with authorized one or more users through one or more communication networks. The encrypted information contains a message configured to be concealed from unauthorized access and a decrypting key configured to retrieve the message from the encrypted information, the decrypting key being randomly placed in the encrypted information. The decrypting key accommodated in the encrypted information transmitted at a first time instant is configured to decrypt the message extracted from the encrypted information at a second time instant, the first time instant being followed by the second time instant. The encrypted information pertains to L2 and L3 communication protocols pertaining to standard TCP/IP format, the exchange of encrypted information being facilitated through one or more parallel communication interfaces.

Abstract: A system and method for a coordinated edge-assisted reliability mechanism for real-time media services. In one embodiment, a method includes forwarding, by an edge relay device, data packets between a media server and a client device; measuring packet loss and latency associated with communications between the edge relay device, the media server, and the client device; determining an error correction procedure based at least in part on the measured latency; and implementing the error correction procedure at the edge relay device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing available bandwidth in a household are provided. A request to access a first media asset is received. A determination is made as to whether a bandwidth currently available in the household is sufficient for enabling access to the first media asset. When the bandwidth currently available in the household is insufficient for enabling access to the first media asset, a search is performed for a second media asset currently consuming a portion of the household bandwidth needed for enabling access to the first media asset. A third media asset is identified having a remaining duration that is more than a remaining duration of the second media asset. A message is displayed that indicates the bandwidth currently available in the household is insufficient to access the first media asset and that has an option to access the third media asset instead of the first media asset.

Abstract: Various implementations described herein are directed to determining variations or changes to a predetermined programming schedule. In accordance with one method, a predicted end time of video content may be determined to be later than a scheduled end time of the video content. Also, it may be determined that video content scheduled to be displayed on a first stream or channel has been moved to a second stream or channel. A scheduled recording or transmission time of video content may be altered based on detected changes to the predetermined programming schedule. A program listing such as an electronic program guide may be revised based on detected changes to the predetermined programming schedule.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for at least one of: (i) displaying a list of images on a display of the user terminal device to the user, where each image within the list of images operates as a respective hyperlink to launch the game from a respective play point in the video of the previously played content of the game program, and (ii) each respective image operates such that the user may activate the respective hyperlink using at least one input device, while the respective image is being displayed to the user, and the activation of the respective hyperlink causes the execution request to include information regarding the respective play point in the video of the previously played content of the game program, and the user clicks on the respective hyperlink while viewing the respective image on the display on which the video showing a play content that has been played by the user himself/herself is being played.

Abstract: A video transmission method and a display are provided. In the method, a first bandwidth of a video stream inputted into a display is detected. The display includes a scaling controller and a timing controller. The first bandwidth is compared with a second bandwidth used by the scaling controller and the timing controller to obtain a comparison result between the first bandwidth and the second bandwidth. The second bandwidth is changed to a third bandwidth according to the comparison result. The third bandwidth is used for a transmission of the video stream. Accordingly, bandwidth waste and power consumption may be reduced.

Abstract: A method, a non-transitory computer readable medium, and a system are disclosed for synchronized playback controls for viewing of video content. The method includes connecting, to a synchronization service, a plurality of media consumption devices; receiving, on the synchronization service, a control request from one or more of the plurality of media consumption devices; and sending, from the synchronization service, a control signal to each of the plurality of media consumption devices to implement a playback control to synchronize a playback of the video content in each of the plurality of media consumption devices.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus acquires face image data of a passenger who has disembarked from an aircraft from an image capture device, and acquires identification information corresponding to the face image data acquired from the image capture device from the storage device. In the storage device, the identification information of the passenger, which includes flight information of the passenger, and the face image data of the passenger are stored in association with each other in advance. The information processing apparatus determines, based on the flight information included in the acquired identification information, whether the passenger is a passenger who is to re-board an aircraft after disembarking from the aircraft. If the passenger is a re-boarding passenger, a tour suitable for the passenger is determined based on the acquired identification information, and the information is displayed on the display devices.

Abstract: A system is provided that extracts contextual keywords from contextual data of programming media content based on a mapping of the contextual data of the programming media content with stored keywords or event information associated with semantics of the programming media content. A plurality of potential non-programming media items is determined from a plurality of non-programming media items for a plurality of users, based on a match between a sentiment type of each of the plurality of non-programming media items and the extracted contextual keywords. Based on a set of constraints, a schedule for insertion of a potential non-programming media item is generated at a candidate spot in the programming media content at run time.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a solution is provided that balances between speed of access and capabilities of an accessed file. More specifically, the concept of a service worker is introduced. The service worker has the ability to intercept requests, such as HTTP requests, for file and to modify them, if necessary. By acting as a middleman between the web browser instance and the web server, the service worker is able to elect to choose to either request versions of files in the cache or to allow the older versions of the files in the cache to remain and be used, balancing between the need for timely responses to requests for files and the need to have updated versions of the files be used. It can then modify web requests from the web browser (such as from web workers of a browser context) as needed to accomplish the aforementioned balance.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for selectively providing live sporting event video at sports gaming devices may include decrypting a first encrypted video signal is decrypted into a first decrypted video signal that includes a first encoded video stream of a first live sporting event. The first encoded video stream may be decoded into a first decoded video stream that includes a first video of the first live sporting event, which may be displayed by a display device along with first wager information to facilitate a user placing a wager on the first live sporting event. In response to receiving an instruction to display a second video of a second live sporting event, a second encrypted video signal may be decrypted into a second decrypted video signal that includes a second encoded video stream of the second live sporting event. The second encoded video stream may be decoded into a second decoded video stream that includes the second video of the second live sporting event.

Abstract: Various embodiments described herein disclose an endpoint modeling and grouping management system that can collect data from endpoint computer devices in a network. In some embodiments, agents installed on the endpoints can collect real-time information at the kernel level providing the system with deep visibility. In some embodiments, the endpoint modeling and grouping management system can identify similarities in behavior in response to assessing the data collected by the agents. In some embodiments, the endpoint modeling and grouping management system can dynamically model groups such as logical groups, and cluster endpoints based on the similarities and/or differences in behavior of the endpoints. In some embodiments, the endpoint modeling and grouping management system transmits the behavioral models to the agents to allow the agents to identify anomalies and/or security threats autonomously.

Abstract: A method for generating DICOM images as part of a real-time virtual medical consultation includes receiving, by a handheld patient device associated with a patient, a DICOM image associated with the patient generated by a diagnostic device, encrypting, by the handheld patient device, the DICOM image and linking the encrypted DICOM image to a unique patient identifier associated with the patient, wherein the handheld patient device is one of a tablet computer and a smartphone, and transmitting, by the handheld patient device, the encrypted DICOM image to a server configured to provide a DICOM viewer option within a secure telemedicine platform accessible by a medical professional and executed by the server.

Abstract: A method includes: performing target detection on a current image to obtain detection information of a plurality of detected targets; obtaining position prediction information of each of a plurality of tracked targets and a number of times of tracking losses of targets from tracking information of each of the tracked targets, and determining a first matching threshold for each of the tracked targets according to the number of times of tracking losses of targets; calculating a motion matching degree between each of the tracked targets and each of the detected targets according to the position detection information and the position prediction information; for each of the tracked targets, obtaining a motion matching result according to the motion matching degree and the first matching threshold corresponding to the tracked target; and matching the detected targets and the tracked targets according to the motion matching results to obtain a tracking result.

The keywords are used to search for media content that is relevant to the on-going conversation. Accordingly, the media guidance application presents relevant content to the users, during the conversation, to more actively engage the users. A conversation monitoring window may be used to present conversation information as well as relevant content. A listening mode may be used to manage when the media guidance application processes speech from a conversation. The media guidance application may access user profiles for keywords, select content types, select content sources, and determine relevancy of media content, to provide content in context of a conversation.

Abstract: A system and method for enabling automated audio transitions in a multi-window video environment. This system and method provide for the autonomous selection of the audio associated with a particular one of the video windows based upon predetermined user preferences. The predetermined user preferences can be functions of the relative size and/or position of a particular video window, as well as the content, resolution, provider, or other characteristic associated with a particular video in a given window.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for allowing a mobile device to dynamically obtain program guide data. A mobile device having the capability of playing media streams is configurable to dynamically request program guide structure information followed by program guide content information. In one example, the program guide structure information allows a user to begin navigating the program guide data in an active and dynamic manner. Program guide content information including data such as program titles, times, icons, and links are then downloaded and displayed as needed. Potentially limitless amounts of program guide data can be provided on a mobile device. Program guide content information can be provided in a generic manner while allowing user layout customization. Program guide information can also be preemptively provided to a mobile device based on a variety of criteria.

Methods disclose displaying on a first portion of a screen a beauty product tutorial including pre-recorded images of a presenter applying a beauty product to a body part of the presenter and determining first effects indicating changes to make to live images of a user to simulate applying the beauty product to the body part of the user, where the first effects are determined based on second effects indicating changes to the pre-recorded images from applying the beauty product to the body part of the presenter. Methods further disclose processing the live images of the user to add the first effects and indications of motion of the beauty product and displaying the processed live images of the user on a second portion of the screen.

Subscribers to the media provider interact with the media content provider via hardware and/or software mechanisms either provided by the media content provider or conforming to specifications of the media content provider. Content of a subscriber corresponding to multiple video content providers is maintained and served by a single provider.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described that relate to authentication and/or binding of multiple devices with varying security profiles. In one aspect, a first device with a higher security profile may vouch for the authenticity of a second device with a lower security profile when the second device requests access for content from a content provider. The vouching process may be implemented by allowing the first device to overlay its digital signature on a registration request that has been signed and transmitted by the second device. The second device with the lower security profile may access content from the content provider or source for a predetermined time period, even when the second device does not access content through the first device.

The seasonal reward system can provide users with a non-linear map that allows the users to choose how to progress through the reward map when advancing or leveling up a virtual character or user account within the video game. The virtual map can provide a visual representation of a non-linear pathway or tracks that a user can follow based on how the user would like to proceed and what types of rewards the user prefers to unlock. The reward map provides a series of reward nodes connected by links, resulting in a plurality of pathways or tracks that a user can select during advancement within the video game. The user can select individual reward nodes when the virtual character levels up and progress along a pathway on the virtual map.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and methods for creating and maintaining a virtual subnetwork of telecommunication base stations within a wider telecommunication network. In an LTE-based example, the subnetwork includes a connection aggregator that is coupled between the plurality of eNodeBs internal to the subnetwork and one or more MMEs in the outer network. The connection aggregator intercepts all control plane messages between the MMEs and the internal eNodeBs, remaps eNodeB identifiers, and transmits repackaged messages so that the outer network sees the entire subnetwork as a single “giant” eNodeB. The disclosed system and methods enables the operator of the virtual subnetwork to add and shut down eNodeBs as demand for connectivity fluctuates, and to do so such that all changes are unseen by the outer network.

The method further includes modifying the advertisement insertion cue to indicate an expiration date and time for playout of a first advertisement content to be inserted into the program content stream, and inserting the first advertisement content into the program content stream.

Abstract: An electronic device and method for recommending new musical tracks for playlists. The electronic device detects a playback of a musical track associated with a first music listening service and identifies a list of tracks by accessing user data associated with a second music listening service that is different from the first music listening service. The list of tracks includes at least one of a set of playlists or a music library of favorite tracks. The electronic device determines the musical track as a missing list item in content of the list of tracks and generates a notification that includes information associated with the musical track and a prompt to add the musical track as a list item of the list of tracks. The notification is generated based on a determination that the musical track is the missing list item. A display is thereafter controlled to render the generated notification.

The alternative or related version of the video program can include the currently displayed program in an on-demand format that can be viewed off-line and can be started over from a beginning portion of the program.

Navigation tools permit users to skip ahead and backward in the playback stream. The machine learning model is trained using to predict, for a given media item, content segments of the given media item depicting an event of interest to the one or more users. One or more outputs of the machine learning model are obtained. The one or more obtained outputs include event data identifying each content segment of the media item and an indication of a level of confidence that each respective content segment depicts an event of interest. In response to determining that at least one content segment is associated with a level of confidence that satisfies a level of confidence criterion, the at least one content segment is associated with a bookmark for a timeline of the media item.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for determining personalized timing for generating for display advertisements to users. Rather than an expert determining time segments of a media asset most suitable for presenting advertisements to users, the most suitable time segments in a media asset for presenting advertisements to users may be customized based on a user's profile information and/or the user's level of engagement in a media asset. The media guidance application may parse a media asset into multiple time segments and determine one or more time segments associated with metadata that matches content characteristics preferred by the user. One or more advertisements may be presented to the user in these time segments determined by the media guidance application instead of the time segments determined by the expert.

Abstract: A content delivery network uses blockchain to manage content. In various implementations, the content delivery network may specify access rights to content in a blockchain network and allow a content access device to access content when the blockchain network is unavailable using a local copy of the blockchain and reconciling upon reconnection. In some implementations, the content delivery network may track storage of available content in a blockchain and use the blockchain to provide different copies of requested items when the different copies can be provided faster, more efficiently, at a lower cost, and so on. Abstract: Techniques are described for real time monitoring and tagging of media content generated during a service session between an individual and a service representative (SR). Media content received during a service session may be dynamically tagged with one or more metadata tags during the service session, the tag(s) indicating portion(s) of the media content that potentially include sensitive information. Tagging may be based on a SR's gestures, clicks, keystrokes, mouse-overs, and/or other actions performed in a SR user interface (UI) during the service session. The media content may be redacted based on the tags to remove and/or obfuscate potentially sensitive information.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for presenting additional information related to an emergency alert. A media guidance application may detect that a new emergency alert has been received. The media guidance application may then perform a search of various content sources (e.g., program listings, the Internet, etc.) for content related to the emergency alert. The media guidance application may then present the search results in a contextual menu enabling the user to access content of the search results. The media guidance application may also provide more options, such as, recording or pausing media content that the user was in the process of consuming when the emergency alert was generated, and an option to the user not to bring up the contextual menu again if the same emergency alert is repeated.
