Abstract: The present invention provides a glasses construction including: an auxiliary frame coupled with optical lenses and disposed as needed behind the middle portion of a glasses frame coupled with lenses; and a protective frame disposed behind and snap-engaged with the glasses frame. The glasses frame and the protective frame together limit the position of the auxiliary frame. Two connecting elements pivotally disposed on two sides of the glasses frame, respectively, are snap-engaged with connecting members extending from the ends of two temples and stopping portions formed beside the connecting members to thereby form a glasses construction. Hence, the combination or separation between the glasses frame and the protective frame, between the glasses frame and the auxiliary frame, or between two said connecting elements pivotally disposed on two sides of the glasses frame and the temples is advantageously characterized by quick positioning or removal by convenient operation.

  • Patent number: 7614741
Abstract: An eyeglass frame and an assembling means thereof are disclosed. The assembling means of the eyeglass frame locks with a main body of the eyeglass frame. A connecting shaft with a plurality of locking teeth is arranged on the assembling means of the eyeglass frame and a wall of a receiving slot of an auxiliary eyeglass frame is also disposed with locking teeth so as to engage with and assemble with the connecting shaft of the assembling means of the eyeglass frame. Thereby the assembling way among the main body of the eyeglass frame, the auxiliary eyeglass frame, and the assembling means of the eyeglass frame is in a removable and detachable form. Moreover, mounting grooves for receiving removable lenses are set on the main body of the eyeglass frame and the auxiliary eyeglass frame respectively. Thus each component can be assembled and disassembled removably. Therefore, users can choose the components according to their needs to form eyeglass frames and production resources are used more efficiently.

Abstract: An eyeglass assembly includes a lens holding “base-frame” with two temples pivotally attached and extending rearward; this “base-frame” is grooved to hold prescription, reading or sunglass lenses. This “base-frame” marries with various lens-holding front-frames enhancement components. The additional front-frame components have the option of holding prescription, reading or sunglass lenses; or can be used with generic colorized lenses, strictly as a “fashion” statement. The base-frame and front-frame enhancement components utilize magnetized ultra-thin special “rare earth” magnetic materials. This material is embedded and concealed in between laminated layers of plastic. These frame enhancement components are self-aligning when attached, and cling securely to the base-frame front with no visible appendages apparent or showing.
