The digital signal processors are programmed so that each digital signal processor processes only a fraction of the measurement values and generates processing results therefrom, and forwards the remaining fraction of the measurement values to the respective next digital signal processor in the processing chain for processing.

  • Patent number: 9742155
Abstract: A laser apparatus includes a plurality of laser modules each generating a laser line in a working plane. The laser modules are juxtaposed so that the laser lines generated by the modules combine into a single laser line. Each of the laser modules includes at least one laser line generator. The laser line generator includes two linear arrays of strips of laser diodes each emitting a focused laser beam. The two linear arrays are arranged parallel to each other so that the strips are staggered. The two sets of parallel laser beams generated by the two linear arrays of strips, respectively, are merged into a single laser line by a set of mirrors. The linear arrays of strips of laser diodes and the mirrors are arranged so that the two sets of laser beams trace optical paths of the same length before being merged into a single laser line.

  • Patent number: 9723293
Abstract: Techniques for identifying usable projection areas within an environment and projecting content onto these areas are described herein. The systems described herein may include one or more projectors, one or more cameras, and one or more computing devices. In some instances, the described techniques may utilize the one or more cameras to identify a flat projection surface. After identifying this surface, the techniques may use depth detection, edge detection, or other techniques to determine whether the surface includes any objects protruding there from. If so, then the techniques may identify the size and location of these objects and may store an indication that these objects occlude a portion of the flat projection surface and, therefore, that the locations associated with these objects are not usable projection areas. The techniques may then deduct the locations of the objects from the initially identified projection surface to determine the usable projection areas.

Abstract: A lighting device comprising a phosphor wheel configured such that it temporarily sequentially not only emits the excitation light in a wavelength-converted fashion as conversion light but additionally reflects said excitation light in an unconverted fashion as reflection light. Conversion light and reflection light are guided spatially separately on a conversion light path and reflection light path, respectively, with the aid of a first dichroic mirror and are finally combined with the aid of a second dichroic mirror. In this way, it is possible to combine the reflection light for example as a blue light channel with the conversion light.

  • Patent number: 9641826
Abstract: A system and method of capturing a stereoscopic pair of images for use in forming a 3-D image of an object at a desired perceived position in a scene projected onto a dome surface. The first one of the stereoscopic pair of images is captured when the object is offset to the right of the desired perceived position in the scene. The second one of the stereoscopic pair of images is captured when the object is offset to the left of the desired perceived position in the scene. In this manner, positive parallax can be captured in front of a viewer, upward in an arc through the zenith of the dome, and beyond to the back of the dome. The system and method allows scenes projected onto a dome surface to contain positive parallax, and therefore allows objects to appear to be located beyond the dome surface.
