Pixels from the blend region are iteratively sampled in the common image space, and for each respective sampled pixel corresponding to the sampled pixel in a respective image area: a value of the respective sampled pixel is changed to an average of neighbouring pixel values in the respective image area; and, when each respective sampled pixel in each of the at least two image spaces is changed to the average of the neighbouring pixels, each averaged respective sampled pixel value is normalize to a blended value, wherein iterations are repeated until a convergence criteria is met. One or more blend masks is output, each comprising at least normalized blended pixel values in the blend region.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for improving the calibration of multiple projector systems in Spatial Augmented Reality systems where multiple projectors are used to project images directly onto objects of interest. The methods and system described herein improve the calibration of multiple projector systems in order to improve the alignment and clarity of projected images by reducing ghosting that can occur with poorly aligned projectors. The system uses a planar photodiode and the projector is used to project a plurality of projection regions, such as scan lines, across the planar photodetector and calculating the position based on weighting measurements by the measured light intensity and projected images in SAR.

Abstract: A multi-screen display apparatus is a multi-screen display apparatus in which screens of a master apparatus and slave apparatuses are arranged. Each of the master apparatus and the slave apparatuses includes a light source for three primary colors formed of a semiconductor light emitting element, and a memory circuit for storing a brightness corresponding to a control current that is specific to each of the primary colors of the light source. The master apparatus determines a common target brightness based on the brightness outputtable by the master apparatus itself and the brightnesses outputtable by other apparatuses. Each of the master apparatus and the slave apparatuses reads, as a target control current, the control current corresponding to the target brightness from the memory circuit, and supplies the target control current to the light source.
