Patent number: 6993411Abstract: A lithography system and method for calculating an optimal discrete time trajectory for a movable device is described. A trajectory planner of the lithography system calculates an optimal discrete time trajectory subject to maximum velocity and maximum acceleration constraints. The trajectory planner begins by calculating a continuous time, three-segment trajectory for a reticle stage, a wafer stage or a framing blade, including a first phase for acceleration at the maximum acceleration to the maximum velocity, a second phase for travel at the maximum velocity and a third phase for deceleration at the negative maximum acceleration to a final velocity. Next, the trajectory planner converts said continuous time, three-segment trajectory to a discrete time trajectory. The time of execution of the resulting trajectory is at most three quanta greater than the time of execution of the continuous time trajectory. One advantage of the system is the reduction of scanning times of a lithography system.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2004Date of Patent: January 31, 2006Assignee: ASML Holding N.V.Inventor: Roberto B. Patent number: 6741044Abstract: When a lamp is turned on and a wafer is placed on a light exposure surface, a controlling unit opens a shutter plate so that light is emitted on the light exposure surface and an illuminometer receives the light. An accumulated light amount measuring unit converts illumination intensity measured by the illuminometer to an accumulated light amount. The controlling unit turns off the lamp by sending a lamp OFF signal to a power supplying unit. At the same time, the controlling unit sends a shutter closing command to the power supplying unit. After the shutter is closed, the controlling unit relight the lamp by sending a lamp ON signal to the power supplying unit.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2003Date of Patent: May 25, 2004Assignee: Ushio Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Minoru Komori, Hirotoshi Sugimoto

Patent number: 6122391Abstract: A system for selecting decorative materials is based on large numbers of high-resolution, full color images of decorative materials stored in a compressed format on an inexpensive medium such as a CD-ROM. In creating the ROM, each image is coordinated with additional information such as style of pattern, type of material, and other auxiliary information. Before final compression and storage of the image data color information is added by spectrophotometrically analyzing the decorative material. Color values for a background color and up to four foreground colors are determined. Individual colors are then referenced to a comprehensive color standard system containing a large number of standardized color swatches. Spectrophotometric color referencing allows the data records to be rapidly searched on the basis of color, as well as the other information in the record. Wallpaper patterns, drapery material, floor covering, or paint can then be rapidly selected on the basis of matching color.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 1997Date of Patent: September 19, 2000Assignee: Autodesk, Inc.Inventors: William K. Patent number: 5023651Abstract: An original photographic image (5) is interrupted by a controlled shutter (10) and simultaneously scanned by a light collector (21) over a planar reference frame by relative movement between the image and the collector (21) along a series of linear side-by-side scanning paths. A light emitter (22) which emits light corresponding to that collected scans a similar planar frame of unexposed film (6) by relative movement between the film and the emitter along a series of linear side-by-side scanning paths. A computer (8) controls the scanning operations and the shutter (10) to cause the image reproduced on the film by exposure to the light emitter to differ to that of the original image.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 1990Date of Patent: June 11, 1991Assignee: Gilchrist Studios Group LimitedInventors: Richard J. Patent number: 5023652Abstract: A photographic printing enlarger apparatus and method in which the enlarger head receives lights passing through a fiber optic light bundle. This light passes through a color filter system, negative, or transparency, supported by a negative carrier, and the lens. The beam of light projects the image on the surface of an exposure correction easel. A mechanical arm scans the beam of light passing through the negative in small sections, and senses the density of the negative, registering the information into a computer memory. The mechanical arm is driven to expose the light-sensitive photographic material in small sections in cooperation with a shutter system and in accordance with the information stored in computer memory. The mechanical arm is comprised of a row of several image sensors which read the wavelength of light passing through.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1989Date of Patent: June 11, 1991Inventor: Norina M. Patent number: 5016040Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for reducing the effect of recording errors on images and information which are recorded in sections onto a recording medium. Recording errors can detract from the quality of a recording particularly at the boundaries of recorded sections. The present invention introduces a number of methods which reduce the effect of recording errors by distributing the errors smoothly over areas of the recording, by modifying the recording level near the section boundaries, by modifying the recording process near the section boundaries, by modifying the shape, size and orientation of the recorded sections, by varying the position of the transition point from one section to an adjacent section and by introducing an overlap region which allows the section boundary to be modified.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1989Date of Patent: May 14, 1991Assignee: Silhouette Technology, Inc.Inventor: Eugene J. Patent number: 4835576Abstract: In the negative form of lith type film or photographic printing paper, the ground part is light-untransmissible and image part (letter, pattern) is light-transmissible. Apart from them, pinholes and stains also constitute light-transmissible areas. Although the light-transmissible areas of letter and pattern are necessary, the light-transmissible areas of pinhole and stain are unnecessary. Thus, the unnecessary light-transmissible areas must be distinguished from the necessary light-transmissible areas, and an opaque layer must be provided on the unnecessary areas to make them opaque. Generally, however, the unnecessary light-transmissible areas are minute and many in number, so that their detection and opaquing is a very laborious work. Thus, according to the opaquing method of the present invention, only the necessary light-transmissible area is detected and the other light-transmissible areas are regarded as unnecessary and the latter are stopped out.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1987Date of Patent: May 30, 1989Assignee: Toyo Ink Mfg.
