Abstract: A method for operating a printing machine having a processor and a device for detecting features of printing substrates includes storing print jobs with the printing substrates appropriate thereto in a database. Features of at least one printing substrate are detected by using the device. The processor selects at least one print job in which the printing substrates of the print jobs from the database correspond to the at least one detected printing substrate or attain a predefined similarity. Abstract: Some embodiments provide a neural network inference circuit (NNIC) for executing a neural network that includes multiple computation nodes at multiple layers. Each of a set of the computation nodes includes a dot product of input values and weight values. The NNIC includes dot product cores, each of which includes (i) partial dot product computation circuits to compute dot products between input values and weight values and (ii) memories to store the weight values and input values for a layer of the NN. The input values for a particular layer of the NN are stored in the memories of multiple cores. A starting memory location in a first core for the input values of the layer stored in the first core is the same as a starting memory location for the input values in each of the other cores that store the input values for the layer.

A print controller retrieves the RIPped data from the digital storage and streams the RIPped data as an output. A communication interface, connected to a screening engine processor, receives the streamed RIPped data and the job definition from the DFE and converts the streamed RIPped data to converted RIPped data having a format readable by the screening engine processor, and to pass information from the screening engine processor to the DFE.

An instrument issuer may transmit a print file to a user system which may in turn provide the print file to the 3D printer in order to produce the instrument. At least of a portion of the print file may be rendered unusable at the user system after being provided to or used by the 3D printer, in order to prevent use of the print file to produce unauthorized copies of the instrument.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for encoding data streams are provided. A computing device can receive an encoder-input data stream (EIDS) encoded in a encoder-input format. The computing device can reformat the EIDS into an encoder-output data stream (EODS) encoded in an encoder-output format that differs from the encoder-input format. The EODS can include a page table for pages, resources of the pages that include reusable resources used multiple times, and binary-formatted commands related to the resources, which are stored in stored in first-come, first-served fashion. The page table can refer to pages of the EODS. The EODS can be based on a resource table storing entries for each reusable resource. Each reusable resource is stored only once in the EODS. The computing device can generate an output based on the EODS.

Abstract: Managing data for transportation is provided via storing data at a host device, where the data is processed and encapsulated into transport units having a maximum size. The data is divided and processed into processed portions of varying size. The processed portions are stored sequentially into an output buffer to form the transport units, with a potential start field space left between each processed portion. A set of processed portions stored in the output buffer is determined based on sizes of the processed portions, the set starting after a previous actual start field where the set has a size less than the maximum size and a potential start field space after a last of the processed portions in the set is replaced by an actual start field to define the set. Sets of processed portions delimited by actual start fields may then be output.

Abstract: A method for determining when to load read I/O operations into an SSD cache medium for a physical storage medium of a data storage system can include maintaining an SSD filter bitmap with a plurality of bits, where each of the bits corresponds to a respective data block of the physical storage medium. The method can also include initially setting each of the bits to a first predetermined value, receiving a first read I/O operation directed to a particular data block of the physical storage medium and, in response to receiving the first read I/O operation, setting a bit corresponding to the particular data block to a second predetermined value. The method can further include receiving a second read I/O operation directed to the particular data block and, in response to receiving the second I/O operation, loading data for the particular data block into the SSD cache medium.

Strips that are not yet already stored in the buffer when the low memory condition occurs are processed according to the rendering technique and then according to the memory utilization reduction technique before being compressed and stored in the memory buffer.

A selection and associated order for a group of images is received from a user. Abstract: A method and system is provided for the creation, management, and distribution of two dimensional video content that appears to a viewer as having a third dimension of depth. The system includes a camera array with multiple cameras at respective different positions that coordinates the off-center rotating motion of apertures that are part of diaphragms in the camera lens systems. The resulting images from each camera in the array are stitched together to create a larger content field and only a portion is displayed at any one time.

When information is required from a user, the electronic information system may be configured to generate a unique access link (uniform resource locator, or URL) for that user. The link may be sent to the user via electronic communication, such as a text message or email. When the user follows the link with a web browser, the system prompts the user to enter an additional piece of personal information that is not known to the general public. Once identity is verified, the user may be required to electronically sign agreements. The user is then prompted to enter the required information. This may allow a user to deposit sensitive information into the system without requiring the user to provide full login credentials.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to reducing line banding artifacts in raw image data. If the same line of pixel sensors (e.g., in a row) in an image sensor includes a subset of pixel sensors that receive bright light and another subset of pixel sensors that receive low light, line banding artifacts may appear in the capture raw image data. To reduce or eliminate the line banding artifacts, the raw image data is normalized by adding offset values to its pixel values. The offset values are determined from the pixel values obtained from masked pixel sensors on one or both sides of the image sensor.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to to an image forming apparatus including a system control module that controls the image forming apparatus; a first memory device used by the system control module; an image processing module that processes image data to be inputted to the image forming apparatus; a second memory device in which image data processed by the image processing module is stored via an image memory bus; and a memory controller that transfers and writes the image data processed by the image processing module into the first memory device without going through the image memory bus, and issues an end interrupt to the system control module each time image data of a predetermined size has been written.
