  • Patent number: 11245807
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image reading device, a printing device, a specific character string detector, and a controller. The specific character string detector extracts a specific area image, enlarges the specific area image, executes character recognition processing on the enlarged specific area image to detect a character string, and determines whether or not the detected character string includes a predetermined specific character string. The controller prohibits copying of the document image when the predetermined specific character string is included in the detected character string. The size of the specific character string before enlargement is smaller than a lower limit character string size of character recognition in the character recognition processing, and the size of the specific character string after enlargement is equal to or larger than the lower limit character string size of character recognition in the character recognition processing.

  • Patent number: 11189006
Abstract: Managing data for transportation is provided via storing data at a host device, where the data is processed and encapsulated into transport units having a maximum size. The data is divided and processed into processed portions of varying size. The processed portions are stored sequentially into an output buffer to form the transport units, with a potential start field space left between each processed portion. A set of processed portions stored in the output buffer is determined based on sizes of the processed portions, the set starting after a previous actual start field where the set has a size less than the maximum size and a potential start field space after a last of the processed portions in the set is replaced by an actual start field to define the set. Sets of processed portions delimited by actual start fields may then be output.

In another aspect, logic detects sequential writes including large block writes to point-in-time copy sources. As a result, when write data of write operations is destaged to the point-in-time copy sources, such source destages do not need to wait for copy source to target operations since they have already been performed. In addition, the copy source to target operations may be stride-aligned with respect to the stride boundaries of the point-in-time copy targets. Abstract: A display apparatus includes a specifying section, a decision section, and a display controller. The specifying section specifies print jobs satisfying a search condition designated to select a print job. The decision section decides an enlargement/reduction ratio on a time axis so that when events related to print jobs satisfying the search condition are displayed in a display area arranged in a time series, a start time of a first event and an end time of a last event are contained in the display area. The display controller controls the display of a line of events related to print jobs satisfying the search condition, enlarged or reduced by the decided enlargement/reduction ratio, in the display area.
