Page Or Frame Memory Patents (Class 358/1.17)
  • Patent number: 8964204
Abstract: An image processing apparatus which is capable of solving a problem that printing cannot be performed due to a shortage of a storage area for image data after rendering of a secure print job, and reducing a wait time from authentication to start of printing. A first storage unit performs rendering on a received secure print job, and stores image data in a storage area. A first transition unit makes the secure print job transit to waiting-for-authentication state. A first suspending unit suspends rendering when a stored image data amount reaches a full capacity during rendering in the waiting-for-authentication state. A second transition unit makes the secure print job transit to a successfully-authenticated state. A second storage unit performs printing on the stored image data, erases the printed image data, starts rendering on a subsequent page, and stores image data obtained by converting the subsequent page.

  • Patent number: 8836985
Abstract: Provided is a method of executing a process by a driver using a storing unit having a first region capable of storing data and a second region capable of storing data with lower generality than the first region. The method includes storing a print-related value that relates to printing in the second region when an excess instruction that instructs the print-related value to be a value that exceeds a predetermined value is given. When the print-related value is not stored in the second region, a print instruction is given to a printing apparatus using print setting information including a print-related value stored in the first region at non-storing time. The method further includes giving a print instruction to the printing apparatus by using print setting information including a print-related value stored in the second region at storing time when the print-related value is stored in the second region.

  • Patent number: 8830510
Abstract: The invention has been made to solve a problem that as the cycle of a transmission clock fluctuates with respect to the cycle of a sampling clock for one bit on the reception side, a reception error occurs. To deal with this, every time sampling data is inverted in a reception data string, the sampling clock is re-synchronized. Furthermore, if there are a predetermined number of successive identical data, an inverted dummy bit is inserted for re-synchronization.

  • Patent number: 8825682
Abstract: A MMR system for publishing comprises a plurality of mobile devices, an MMR gateway, an MMR matching unit and an MMR publisher. The mobile devices send retrieval requests including image queries and other contextual information. The MMR gateway processes the retrieval request from the mobile devices and then generates an image query that is passed on to the MMR matching unit. The MMR matching unit receives an image query from the MMR gateway and sends it to one or more of the recognition units to identify a result including a document, the page and the location on the page. The MMR matching unit includes an image registration unit that receives new content from the MMR publisher and updates the index table of the MMR matching unit. A method for automatically registering images and other data with the MMR matching unit, a method for dynamic load balancing and a method for image-feature-based queue ordering are also included.

  • Patent number: 8817346
Abstract: First storage stores code data each of which is formed by arranging identification at head of line code data obtained by coding image in a line unit, from first to last line of the image. Second storage recognizes the identification from the code data read by First reader to store the code data in a line unit. Third storage stores decoded image obtained by decoding the code data read from the second storage by Second reader in a line unit. When the image is rotated 180 degrees, First reader reads the code data from First storage from the last to the first line and reads each line from an end to a head of the line, Second reader reads the code data from Second storage from the identification to the end of the line, and Third reader reads the decoded image from the end to the head of the line.

  • Patent number: 8817323
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a request signal generating unit that generates a predetermined timing signal and transmits a request signal for a specified number of times for requesting line-by-line image data during a time interval at which the timing signal is generated; and a memory control unit that sequentially saves, in a memory unit, line-by-line image data transmitted in response to the request signal and reads line-by-line image data saved in the memory unit to transmit the line-by-line image data to a drive control unit. Upon receiving a predetermined increase request, the request signal generating unit shifts a generation timing of the timing signal so that, during the time interval, the request signal can be transmitted for an increased number of times than the specified number of times, and gradually shortens the timing signal by a predetermined shortening time period.
