Facsimile Control Unit Patents (Class 358/468)
  • Publication number: 20150062665
Abstract: A facsimile device includes a main control unit and a sub-control unit. The first main control unit is configured to count a number of rings in a call signal sent from a public-line network and to put the facsimile device off-hook when the count value reaches a preset specified number of rings in the normal mode, and to suspend the count and off-hook functions in the energy-saving mode. The sub-control unit is configured to detect an incoming call signal and cause the main control unit to recover. The main control unit is configured to: calculate the number of rings in an incoming call signal in an elapsed time required from when the sub-control unit detects the incoming call signal until the main control unit recovers to the normal mode; and use the calculated number of rings to count the number of rings in an incoming call signal.

  • Patent number: 8760704
Abstract: The system provides for controlling color reproduction of input color image data in a network having nodes (or sites). The system distributes the input color image data from one of the nodes to other nodes, and provides data structures in the network. The system has means for providing color calibration data at each node characterizing output colors (colorants) of the rendering device of the node, and means for producing at each node, responsive to the color calibration data of the rendering device of the node, information for transforming the input color image data into output color image data at the rendering device of the node. The rendering device of each node renders a color reproduction responsive to the output color image data, wherein colors displayed in the reproduction at the rendering device of each node appear substantially the same within the output colors attainable by the rendering devices.

Abstract: A method of adjusting a level of liquid to be deposited on a print media includes providing an image processing system. Image data for a page of a print job and information regarding a printing system to be used to deposit the liquid on the print media during a printing operation is provided to the image processing system. The image data for the page of the print job is converted into a bitmap appropriate for analysis of risk of excessive inking related print defects using the image processing system. The overall risk score is determined to be acceptable or unacceptable. The bitmap is released for printing when the overall risk score is acceptable. The image data for the print job page is modified when the overall risk score is unacceptable.

  • Patent number: 8749852
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to prevent a two-dimensional code to be additionally embedded from corrupting a two-dimensional code which has been embedded when a document in which the two-dimensional code has been embedded is copied or when a document in which the two-dimensional code has been embedded is overlaid on form data in which the two-dimensional code has been embedded. In the present invention, when it is detected that a second two-dimensional code is embedded in an input image, the input image is printed without overlay of a first two-dimensional code thereon. Furthermore, when form data for overlaying is stored, when it is detected that a third two-dimensional code is embedded in the form data or when it is detected that a second two-dimensional code is embedded in an input image, the input image is output without overlay of a first two-dimensional code thereon.

Abstract: A data transmission device and a method thereof. A fax driving unit converts a document into a fax data recognizable by a first multifunction machine, and creates a fax event including a fax information event which instructs to transmit the converted fax data to a second office machine and a fax number of the second office machine. A printer spooler spools the converted fax data and outputs the spooled fax data and the fax information event. A communication port transmits the spooled fax data and the fax information event to the first multifunction machine. The first multifunction machine transmits the fax data to the second multifunction machine based on the transmitted fax information event. Accordingly, data communication errors are prevented which occur between a host personal computer and a multifunction machine while transmitting the fax data.
