  • Patent number: 8705186
Abstract: The patent discloses a lens barrel driving system and a backlash correction method thereof. In such system, a zoom photo-interrupter (PI) is used to detect the movement of a zooming barrel and generate a first count value. The movement of a focusing barrel corresponds to the movement of the zooming barrel, so that when the zooming barrel is driven to move from an initial position to a first zooming position or from the first zoom position to a second zoom position, the focusing barrel moves correspondingly and its movement triggers a home PI to generate a second count value. Upon the generation of the second count value, a predetermined value is used to replace the first count value so as to correct the error caused by backlash of lens barrels.

The current backlash value is then calculated according to the moving step value and the predetermined step value. Then, the difference value between the current backlash value and the predetermined step value are stored in the storage module. The processing module determines whether the difference value is within an allowable error range. When the difference value is within the allowable error range, the processing module writes the current backlash value into the storage module to replace the backlash compensation value. Therefore, the backlash compensation value of the image capturing device can be corrected automatically to enhance image quality.

Abstract: A voice coil motor includes a stationary magnetic field generator with a receiving space, a moveable magnetic field generator received in the receiving space, a lens module, a base, and a lower elastic plate. The moveable magnetic field generator includes a lens retainer. The lens retainer defines a circular hole with internal threads. The lens module forms external threads threadedly engaging with the internal threads. An adhesive is coated between the external and internal threads. The stationary magnetic field generator is supported on the base. The base defines an opening in its center. The lower elastic plate is sandwiched between the base and the stationary magnetic field generator and defines a light passing hole. The lower elastic plate includes an elastic portion surrounding the light passing hole. A cross-sectional area of the elastic portion is less than a cross-sectional area of the opening.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a variable magnification device and a telescopic sight using the same, and more particularly, to a variable magnification device which is capable of easily adjusting a magnification of a telescopic sight. The variable magnification device includes: a rotation bunch which has a ring shape conforming to the circumference of a barrel of a telescopic sight and includes a bent end formed on one side of the circumference of the rotation bunch; and a rod which is connected to the bent end and is bendable in the longitudinal direction of the barrel. The magnification of the telescopic sight can be adjusted with an aiming posture maintained, thereby allowing immediate hit on a target. In addition, a leverage effect can be used to easily and finely adjust the magnification of the telescopic sight with one hand, thereby preventing distortion of an aiming posture as maximally as possible.
