The sandal is modularly constructed and can be easily assembled and disassembled. The sole and the at least one strap are connected to each other by guiding the at least one strap through apertures provided in the sole. The two ends of the at least one strap are either fastened to the strap again by means of at least one of the cam buckles so as to form a loop or are anchored to one of the apertures by means of at least one of the anchor buckles, wherein the fastening of at least one cam buckle and/or the at least one anchor buckle is effective by friction-locking and they can be opened manually after closing and can be detached from the strap.

A center region of the body between the toe end and the heel end may include a cored region having a cavity defined in the top surface of the body and at least one vertical support within the cavity. In some aspects, the body includes a non-uniform thickness.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a shoe component may include injecting a material into a mold cavity to create a thin sheet of molded material formed as a single piece with molded holes extending through the molded material and formed as part of the injection molding process. The thin sheet of molded material may be in a shape that can be secured together to form a shoe upper including a vamp, a medial portion, and a lateral portion. The method may include removing, from the mold cavity, the sheet of molded material, folding the sheet of molded material, optionally cementing a first portion of the sheet of molded material to a second portion of the sheet of molded material, and cementing a third portion of the sheet of molded material to a sole to form a shoe. The completed shoe may also include an insole, a tongue, and laces.

Abstract: A wearable sensor and method for providing a wearable sensor are disclosed. In a first aspect, the wearable sensor comprises a first module, wherein the first module comprises a top layer, a printed circuit board (PCB) layer, and a bottom layer. The bottom layer comprises a double adhesive layer that adheres to both the PCB layer and the user. The bottom layer includes at least two openings to house at least two electrodes for monitoring of a user. The wearable sensor further comprises a second module coupled to the first module, wherein the first module is disposable and the second module is reusable. In a second aspect, the method comprises providing the aforementioned wearable sensor.

The sole assembly for the clog has an interior sole wing situated near a heel of the sole assembly, and an exterior sole wing on an opposite side of the sole assembly from the interior sole wing, near the heel of the sole assembly, wherein the interior sole wing and the exterior sole wing consist of webbing strap and rubber that extend above the sole assembly. The clog also includes an upper, where the upper is affixed to the sole assembly. A wing hook strap is affixed to the interior sole wing on the first end of the wing hook strap and to the paracord loop on a second end of the wing hook strap, wherein the wing hook strap includes a first G-hook that hooks into one of the first plurality of hook pockets.

Abstract: A sandal construction including a sole assembly, an adjustable strap system, and an ankle post extending up from and affixed to the sole in the ankle region. The ankle post includes three slots arranged in a generally triangular configuration. The strap system includes a strap, a portion of which is threaded through the slots in the ankle post and extending behind the heel of a wearer's foot and from the ankle region into the forefoot region. The strap is folded as it passes between two slots to control the orientation of the strap portions and to allow deliberate adjustment of the strap, but resist unintentional movement of the strap. The strap is selectively moveable through the slots to loosen and tighten the strap through both the ankle and forefoot regions to adjust the fit of the sandal to the wearer's foot.

Also, a forefoot cover having V-shaped straps is positioned and extends over at least a part of the forefoot section and is attached to the top section of the sole. A horizontal recess is formed in the heel section of the sole for receiving therein a horizontal strap, which is removably placed in the horizontal recess. The horizontal strap is moveable by the user between a first stored position in the recess, and a second in-use raised position, wherein the horizontal strap extends above the horizontal recess and covers the bridge of the user's foot in order to convert the flip-flop to a sandal for securing the foot more securely.

The heel contact member extends above a top portion of the footwear's sole and deforms into a cavity formed in the sole when the user's heel applies a force against the heel contact member. The heel contact member is resilient and returns to its original shape when the force against the heel contact member is eliminated. The heel contact member is particularly well suited to reduce heel slap of open heeled footwear.

Acknowledging that there is very little wear on the soles of the shoes for children learning to walk because of their weight and the few steps they take, this shoe has interchangeable upper shoes that can be mated to a common sole. The sandal strap includes a G-hook and G-Hook strap system to facilitate the comfortable adjustment of the sandal on a foot. Additional adjustments in the strap systems include a ladder buckle and a hook and loop adjustment system. The strap system is attached to a hard rubber sole to keep the sole comfortable connected to the foot during sports activities.
