Patent number: 11214078Abstract: A system and method for stabilizing a substrate during printing of images and subsequent cutting of the printing images with the system. The system comprises a printer assembly and a cutting assembly for printing images on a print media and then cutting the images from the print media. The printer assembly and cutting assembly are positioned in the system such that the media is printed and cut before advancing further through the system. The system has a web feeding system having a plurality of pairs of levers for providing different amounts of pinch force to the web during the printing and cutting processes so as to retain the media in a substantially flat and stationary position for printing as well as cutting.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2020Date of Patent: January 4, 2022Assignee: PRIMERA TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Brent L. Nordhus, Darren W. Haas

Patent number: 9653058Abstract: A passive feedback mechanism by which sound produced by a musical instrument is enhanced by utilizing the reverberations from the sound to dynamically and passively alter the magnetic field in the vicinity of an electronic pickup is disclosed. This is accomplished by utilizing a component or material adhered to the instrument with the property to alter the magnetic field as the material vibrates in response to sound reverberation, one embodiment being a ferromagnetic surface coating. An electromagnetic pickup, sensitive to these variations in the magnetic field, is installed on or within the instrument. The changes in the magnetic field, in response to the music, are captured by the pickup and transformed into an electric signal with thus produce a unique and enhanced sound.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2014Date of Patent: May 16, 2017Inventor: Philip J. Patent number: 8934187Abstract: A magnetic head is arranged between two reels around which a magnetic tape is wound and contacts one side of the magnetic tape spanned between the two reels. A driver moves the magnetic head. A controller causes the driver to generate a driving force for pressing the magnetic head against the one side of the magnetic tape while keeping the magnetic head in contact with the magnetic tape. It is possible to cause the magnetic head to stably contact the magnetic tape even when the running position of the magnetic tape varies in accordance with the winding state of the magnetic tape around the reel.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2012Date of Patent: January 13, 2015Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Yoshiaki Ochi, Koujiro Hashimoto
