  • Patent number: 11880575
Abstract: An information handling system includes a host controller, a memory device, and a processor. The memory device receives I/O commands from the host controller. The memory device includes a processor. The processor sets an initial idle time prior to transition (ITPT) setting as a current ITPT setting for a memory device of an information handling system, and monitors input/output (I/O) commands from a host in the information handling system. While monitoring the I/O commands, the processor increases a first counter in response to the memory device entering a non-operational mode based on the current ITPT setting, and increases a second counter in response to the memory device entering an operational mode within a particular amount of time from when the memory device entered the non-operational mode. The processor further varies the current ITPT setting based on a current ratio of the second counter to the first counter.

Abstract: A data storage device is disclosed comprising a head actuated over a disk, and a spindle motor configured to rotate the disk, wherein the spindle motor comprises a plurality of windings. The windings of the spindle motor are commutated based on a commutation sequence while applying a driving voltage to each winding, wherein the driving voltage comprises an operating polarity during normal operation. When a supply voltage falls below a threshold while the spindle motor is rotating the disk, the spindle motor is configured into a power generator by at least reversing the polarity of the driving voltage for an interval and then reversing the polarity of the driving voltage back to the operating polarity.

Abstract: Embodiments of an integrated motor drive power electronics system are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the integrated motor drive power electronics system includes an active line filter (ALF) configured to control and regulate current drawn from an input power source and to attenuate current ripple fed back to the input power source, an energy storage capacitance coupled to an output of the active line filter, and a bidirectional low voltage power supply (LVPS). In some embodiments, the bidirectional LVPS may provide regulated power to a load and may selectively recycle power back to the input power source and regulate voltage at the load to a predetermined output voltage. In some embodiments, the energy storage capacitance may serve as a local input power source for higher power motor drive electronics and the bidirectional LVPS.

  • Patent number: 9710819
Abstract: A computing system accepts audio from one or more sources, parses the audio into chunks, and transcribes the chunks in substantially real time. Some transcription is performed automatically, while other transcription is performed by humans who listen to the audio and enter the words spoken and/or the intent of the caller (such as directions given to the system). The system provides for participants a user interface that is updated in substantially real time with the transcribed text from the audio stream(s). A single audio line can be used for simple transcription, and multiple audio lines are used to provide a real-time transcript of a conference call, deposition, or the like. A pool of analysts creates, checks, and/or corrects transcription, and callers/observers can even assist in the correction process through their respective user interfaces. Ads derived from the transcript are displayed together with the text in substantially real time.
