Abstract: A novel and useful fully integrated switched-mode wideband 60 GHz power amplifier architecture. Using an appropriate second-harmonic termination of its output matching network, the required systematic peak current of the final stage is reduced such that the PA functions as a class-E/F2 switched-mode PA at saturation. In addition, low/moderate magnetic coupling factor transformers in the intermediate stages enable the PA to reach a high power added efficiency (PAE) and bandwidth product. Transformers of low/moderate coupling are also utilized in the preliminary stages of the PA to improve the overall bandwidth. In addition, the PA exploits the different behavior of the output impedance matching network for differential mode (DM) and common mode (CM) excitations. The PA is also stabilized against the combination of DM and CM oscillation modes. The PA also provides a technique to stabilize transformer-based mm-wave amplifiers against various modes of undesired oscillations.

Abstract: The present invention provides an amplifying repeater, which is constructed in such a manner that a ferrite core is inserted into a coil with a pre-determined number of winds to increase an induced electromotive force caused by an increase in flux linkage using a time-varying magnetic field of electromagnetic waves at a position distant from various electromagnetic wave generating sources by a predetermined distance and the induction coil and a variable condenser for inducing resonance are connected to each other to increase current while reducing a resistant component existing in the induction coil to intensify and amplify the magnetic field of electromagnetic waves. Furthermore, the present invention provides a wireless power conversion charging device using the magnetic field of electromagnetic waves, which is located between an electromagnetic wave generating source transmitter and a receiving coil or attached to the transmitter and receiving coil.

Abstract: An exemplary method is disclosed for disturbance current compensation for an electrical system by a disturbance current compensation device, which electrical system has a voltage source and a series circuit which is connected via a conductor in parallel with the voltage source. The series circuit has an inductance and a capacitance, with the inductance being connected in series with the capacitance via a conductor. To compensate for disturbance currents, the conductor for the connection of the voltage source to the series circuit of the inductance with the capacitance, and/or the conductor of the series circuit between the inductance and the capacitance, can be surrounded by a ring (e.g., a portion of the conductor can be substantially surrounded by the ring) which can be magnetized. The ring includes an air gap of the disturbance current compensation device. A compensation voltage can be applied by magnetization of the ring.

Abstract: An interface enables an RF signal, a DC power signal, and a data signal to be conveyed between two devices over a single RF cable. In an exemplary application of this invention, a steerable antenna system is coupled to a wireless adapter for use in a wireless network. The steerable antenna includes a plurality of panels that can be selectively activated in response to the data signal, which also determines a direction in which an RF signal is transmitted or received by a selected panel of the antenna. Low pass filters in each device isolate the DC power supply and the load from the other two signals. High pass filters isolate the radio in the wireless adapter and the antenna array from the DC and data signals. The data signal is preferably encoded into a Manchester format that passes through a bandpass filter provided in each device.
