With Lock For Preventing Unauthorized Use Patents (Class 361/269)
  • Patent number: 10864431
Abstract: Methods of using automatic card shufflers may involve causing playing cards to be moved from a card input area to a temporary card storage utilizing a card input mechanism. A first number of playing card hands may be formed in a corresponding first number of designated card storage compartments of the temporary card storage when a control system of the automatic card shuffler is in a first operational mode. A second, different number of playing card hands may be formed in a corresponding second number of designated card storage compartments of the temporary card storage when the control system is in a second operational mode. The card storage compartments of the second number of designated card storage compartments may be distinct from the card storage compartments of the first number of designated card storage compartments.

  • Patent number: 8300382
Abstract: A portable apparatus for voltage transformation is capable of temporarily augmenting a power transformer. A transformer with a first medium voltage primary winding, a second medium voltage primary winding and a low voltage secondary winding is selectably coupled to a plurality of medium voltage electrical power input couplings capable of temporarily coupling with medium voltage power on a plant. An interlocked switch selectably couples the medium voltage electrical power input couplings to the medium voltage primary windings of the transformer such that only one medium voltage primary winding of the transformer is coupled at a time to the medium voltage electrical power input couplings. The interlocked switch can use a captive key system to prevent more than one secondary winding from being simultaneously connected. Medium voltage circuit protection devices such as fuses are included.

  • Publication number: 20100123992
Abstract: An apparatus for preventing inappropriate removal in a multi-storage system and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus includes a plurality of expending trays, a plurality of security devices, and a monitor unit. Storage devices are selectively installed in the expending trays. Each security device is disposed in a corresponding expending tray, and is used for locking the storage device installed therein. The monitor unit is used for detecting whether the installed storages have a redundant reliability. If the installed storages do not have the redundant reliability, the monitor unit activates the security units to lock a part of or all of the storage devices for preventing data accessing failure caused by inappropriate removal of the storage devices.
