Abstract: A system comprises: electronic apparatuses; a management apparatus comprising a connection positional relation database for managing connection positional relations of the ports of the electronic apparatus; and an information communication terminal. The management apparatus acquires disconnection target port information from the information communication terminal and thereby reads information related to the disconnection target port from the connection positional relation database to transmit to the electronic apparatus. The electronic apparatus transmits a visible light signal to outside based on the information related to the disconnection target port. The information communication terminal displays the information related to the disconnection target port based on the visible light signal.

Abstract: A portable electronic device including a main display having a locking recess at a side edge and at least one external display detachable relative to the side edge of the main display is provided. The external display includes a body, and at least one latch pivoted to the body. The latch is pivoted to the body to be swiveled out of or into the body. An opening of the locking recess faces obliquely upward and faces away from a direction of gravity when the main display is standing, the at least one latch swiveled out of the body faces obliquely downward and faces forward the direction of gravity to be inserted into the locking recess, and the at least one external display is hung on at the side edge of the main display by a weight of the at least one external display.

Abstract: In an example in accordance with the present disclosure, a computing device docking station is described. The computing device docking station includes a computing device port to receive a connector of a host computing device and a display device port to receive a connector of a display device. The computing device docking station also includes a dock management controller. The dock management controller is to 1) determine a status of the computing device docking station and 2) generate a notification indicating the status of the computing device docking station. The computing device docking station also includes a display controller to generate an on-screen display (OSD) presentation of the notification on the display device coupled to the display device port.

Abstract: A carrying module configured to carry a functional assembly includes a main casing, a cover, a stop assembly, and an assist assembly. The cover is detachably assembled to the main casing. The stop assembly is disposed on the main casing and has a stop portion. The stop portion is adapted to stop the cover on an assembling path of the cover. The assist assembly is disposed on the main casing and contacts the stop assembly, such that the stop portion is away from the assembling path of the cover. In addition, an electronic device including the carrying module is also provided.

Abstract: Example techniques relate to cloud queue tombstones. An example implementation may involve a computing system receiving instructions to remove a particular media item from a playback queue. Based on the instructions, the computing system removes the particular media item from the playback queue and adds, to the playback queue, a tombstone indicator indicating that the particular media item has been removed from the playback queue. The computing system receives, from the media playback system, a request for a window of one or more media items from the playback queue. Based on the request, the computing system sends, to the media playback system, data representing a particular window of media items from the playback queue, wherein the particular window includes the tombstone indicator. The computing system detects a given tombstone removal trigger from among multiple tombstone removal triggers and based on the detecting, removes the tombstone indicator from the playback queue.

Abstract: A variety of improvements to docking systems for portable computing devices are disclosed. For example, improved techniques for maintaining a data connection between a base portion of the docking system and a case portion of the docking system are disclosed. As an example, the docking system can include improved magnetics that help maintain the data connection between the base portion and the case portion, even during rotational movements of the case portion relative to the base portion. Further still, examples are described where the detection of a docking action between the case portion and the base portion can trigger any of a number of responsive actions.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining monitoring data recorded by first and second devices, the first and second devices being attached to the subject at different first and second sties, respectively. The monitoring data comprises signals associated with at least one physiological parameter of the subject. The method also includes extracting one or more features of the signals recorded by the first and second devices during a transitionary period when the first and second devices simultaneously monitor the at least one physiological parameter of the subject. The method further includes generating at least one correlation parameter by analyzing the extracted features of the signals recorded by the first and second devices for at least a portion of the transitionary period, the at least one correlation parameter when applied to signals recorded by the second device at least partially compensating for relative changes in signals recorded by the first and second devices.

The riser guide is operable to align a riser to be plugged into a motherboard installed in the sled. In one embodiment, a base station (BS) of a wireless communication network determines to enter a sleep mode. The BS transmits, to one or more user equipment (UEs) of the wireless communication network, a communication signal indicating that the BS will enter the sleep mode. The BS operates in the sleep mode for a sleep mode period. In one embodiment, a UE receives, from a BS, a communication signal indicating that the BS will enter a sleep mode for a sleep mode period. The UE refrains, during one or more sleep windows of the sleep mode period, from performing uplink communications.

Abstract: A key retention device and a portable dock for the key retention device are disclosed. The key retention device includes a key holder and a base. The key holder is rotatably coupled to the base. The base includes pins that extend into a cavity of the key holder when the key holder is in a closed position and do not extend into the cavity when the key holder is in an open position. The base includes a finger that prevents users from inserting an electronic key into the key holder when the key holder is in the closed position. The key retention device can receive the portable dock and lock the key holder in the locked position when a user input is received. The user input can be provided to the key retention device to remove an electronic key from the portable dock or to remove the portable dock altogether.

Abstract: A dock for portable electronic devices (PEDs) such as portable computers, smartphones, and the like has a dock cavity wherein a PED may be inserted. The cavity wall bears an external connector aligned to connect with a PED's onboard connector for charging and/or data communications when the PED is properly inserted in the cavity. However, the external connector retracts within the cavity wall if the PED is misinserted such that it bears against the external connector. The cavity walls are designed to loosely receive (and coarsely align) the PED upon initial insertion, and then closely receive (and finely align) the PED's onboard connector with the dock's external connector as the PED approaches full insertion. The rear cavity wall, against which the leading edge of the PED bears upon full insertion, is configured to resiliently yield upon impact with the PED, thereby decreasing repeated shock damage to the dock and PED.

Abstract: Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes a master device and a slave device detachably mounted on the master device. The master device includes a housing, a bracket, a master controller and a switch assembly. The housing is provided with a groove to receive the bracket. The bracket can be rotated into or out of the groove relative to the housing. The switch assembly is arranged on the housing and directly faces the groove. When the bracket is rotated out of the groove relative to the housing and the rotation angle thereof meets a first angle, the switch assembly generates a first signal and sends it to the master controller. The master controller controls, according to the first signal, at least one component of the master device to be switched to a first usage state.

Abstract: Display and docking apparatuses for portable electronic devices are disclosed. A display apparatus includes a portable electronic device assembly and a docking stand assembly. A portable electronic device assembly includes a portable electronic device (PED) and a case. A docking stand assembly includes a docking tray to removably attach to the PED assembly, a base, a hinge connecting the docking tray and the base and to allow the docking tray to pivot relative to the base, and a cable attached to a first interface and a second interface. The cable is to travel through at least a portion of the docking stand assembly with the first interface located at the base of the docking stand assembly and the second interface available at (or integrated into) the docking tray. The base may be divided into one or more removeable modules, each module providing additional functionality to the display apparatus.

Abstract: Designs for enabling safe insertion and removal of computing components from a live motherboard are presented herein. In one example, a method includes maintaining a slot power connection and an auxiliary power connection for a peripheral card slot in a powered-off state, and sensing insertion of a peripheral card into the peripheral card slot and responsively detecting whether the auxiliary power connection is employed by the peripheral card. Based on detecting the auxiliary power connection is employed by the peripheral card, the method further includes applying current limits selected for the peripheral card to the slot power connection and the auxiliary power connection and concurrently enabling the slot power connection and the auxiliary power connection for the peripheral card.

In an example, a housing of the electronic device includes a sidewall having an opening to receive an external actuator to access a switch of the electronic device. The housing further includes a first bracket and a second bracket, both movably coupled to the sidewall. The first bracket includes an actuator opening, which when aligned with the opening of the sidewall, allows the external actuator to access the switch. Further, the second bracket is moveable to co-operate with the first bracket to align the actuator opening with the opening to provide access to the switch.
