  • Patent number: 6473313
Abstract: A fastening device for securing a data storage device (50) with a screw (52) secured thereon includes a locating plate (10) and a bracket (26). The bracket receives the data storage device therein, and the locating plate secures the data storage device to the bracket. The bracket includes first and second side panels (30, 40). The first side panel defines a slot (32). The second side panel defines a groove (42) for slidingly receiving the screw of the data storage device. The locating plate includes an engaging section (12) and an elastic section (16). The engaging section forms a latch (22) stamped toward and received in the slot of the bracket, and engaged with the data storage device. The elastic section extends from the engaging section, and provides the locating plate with elastic deformation capability so that the latch can move in and out of the slot of the bracket.

Abstract: A fastening mechanism for detachable keyboard modules with the keyboard module consists of at least one fastening seat. The fastening seat engages with a fastening means. The keyboard module is fastened to a computer casing through the fastening means. The fastening means includes a body, two slide channels and an elastic element. The body has a second fastener located at the front end thereof and a housing chamber located at the rear end thereof. The two slide-channels are located at two sides of the body to form a slidable coupling with two slides which located at two sides of the fastening seat. The elastic element is restricted between the housing chamber and a stopping flange which located at a rear end of the fastening seat. The elastic force of the elastic element may push the fastening means forwards to enable a second fastener located at the front end of the body to engage with a first fastener located at the computer casing thereby to enable the keyboard module fastening to the computer casing.

Abstract: A removable-type hard disk drive bi-directional ingress and egress structure consisting of a connecting rod conjoined to the lower extent of a rotating shaft, with the other end conjoined to upper extent of another rotating shaft and thereby enabling opposite angles between the two upper and lower rotating shafts. When any single rotating shaft of the two upper and lower rotating shafts is selectively positioned by an extended handle, a tabular projection and two protruding catch hooks of a rotating shaft are utilized to coordinate the revolving of the rotating shafts by the handle such that the opposing action generated by the two upper and lower rotating shafts achieve a balanced ingress and egress effect at both the left and right sides. • Patent number: 5973926
Abstract: A method and apparatus for mounting a motherboard to a chassis of a personal computer using only a single screw. A number of standoffs snap into the base of the chassis, electrically contacting the chassis. Each standoff includes a projection. The motherboard includes apertures for accepting the projections such that when an ramp and shelf of each projection is aligned with the motherboard, the motherboard is positioned a fixed distance from the chassis. A mounting bracket also includes a number of projections. Apertures provided in the motherboard correspond to the projections of the mounting bracket. The surface of each side of the motherboard surrounding each aperture is plated with an electrically conductive material to form a conductive path between the motherboard and the standoffs and the bracket. The projections of the bracket are inserted into the corresponding apertures in the motherboard. A screw is inserted through a wall of the chassis and into a threaded hole in the bracket.

Abstract: The invention consists of a process to form low stretch-deep draws on metal sheet; it foresees an initial stage through which a sequence of thread-like cuts (2) are carried out on the metal sheet (1) corresponding to the surface that will be drawn, whose cuts (2) on the adjacent lines are offset compared with each other, a stage in which the metal sheet (1) is stretched, through which stage the opening of the cuts (2) is obtained, therefore an ample widening of the cut surface and a minimum stretching of the non cut surface and of the oblique stripped metal network, separating the empty spaces (3) obtained through the widening of the thread like cuts (2), and where necessary, a stage in which the metal sheet is bent along a line which allows, on the overlapped surfaces, the open spaces of one surface to correspond to the strips on the other surface in order to reduce or close the width of the spaces in order to reduce electromagnetic interferences.
