Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pool light assembly having structure for providing cooling to pools having illumination features. The light assembly includes a water inlet housing having a portion on the dry side and a portion immersed in the pool water. A threaded assembly having sealing structure creates a leak proof connection with the pool wall. On the portion of the housing immersed in pool water, the housing includes a flange defining a base. The base has an exterior exposed to the pool water and an enclosed interior including the illuminating structure. A notch is provided in the exterior of the base and extends into the interior for allowing pool water in the proximity of the illumination structure. Sealing structure prevent water from entering the electrically active elements of the illuminating structure while allowing close proximity for cooling pool water to act as a cooling element for the illuminating structure.

Abstract: A stereopsis aqua-lamp photo frame assembly includes a base inside which a light-emitting element that generates heat is mounted. The base supports thereon an aqua-lamp photo frame that has front and rear surfaces respectively forming front-side and rear-side recessed chambers. One of the recessed chambers receives and holds therein a photo or a picture. The aqua-lamp photo frame forms therein a flow channel at a portion thereof corresponding to the two recessed chambers, whereby the heat generated by the light-emitting element causes a low boiling point flowable medium contained in the aqua-lamp photo frame to flow and spangles contained in the flowable medium entrain the flowing medium to pass through the flow channel, serving as embellishment of the photo or picture, thereby enhancing a stereopsis effect of the photo frame.

Abstract: A deep submersible light includes a body defining a hollow interior and a solid state light source such as a plurality of high brightness LEDs mounted in the interior of the body. A transparent window is mounted over the LEDs. The space between the transparent window and the LEDs is filled with an optically transparent fluid, gel, or grease, which allows light to pass through and ambient water pressure to pass in, thus pressure compensating the LEDs by allowing them to see ambient water pressure. The transparent window is mounted in the body for reciprocation in both a forward direction and a rearward direction to accommodate volumetric changes in the compensating fluid, gel, or grease caused by changes in temperature and water pressure as the manned or remotely piloted submarine travels from the sea surface to deep ocean depths.
