    Abstract: A light module system includes a receptacle, which may be mounted on a support surface, such as a heat sink, and further includes a cover and an LED assembly rotatably coupled to the cover. The LED assembly seats within the receptacle which causes terminals of the LED assembly to align with contacts on the receptacle. One of the cover and the receptacle has a plurality of ramps and the other has a plurality of shoulders. The cover can be rotated relative to the receptacle to cause the shoulders to slide relative to the ramps so as to direct the LED assembly into the receptacle. When the LED assembly is attached to the receptacle, the terminals on the LED assembly mate with the contacts on the receptacle.

    Abstract: Solid state light engines are disclosed that emit a bright, non-symmetrical emission pattern, with a relatively high luminous flux and from a relatively small area. The light engines can be used in many different types and sizes of light sources, with some embodiments providing a light quantity, quality and distribution similar to conventional J-type Halogen light sources. The light engines are arranged with integral power supplies and heat management features that allow for the engines to provide high emission intensities while generating significantly less heat at the light source. This can result in significantly higher efficiency and greater life space. In some embodiments, the light can perform similarly to a halogen J-type Lamp 80 mm light tube, while generating similar or greater amounts of light. The light engines according to the present invention provide the capability to be used in low profile light fixtures.

As such, it is easy to separate the organic light emitting display panel and the support means from each other when a fault is generated in any component. In accordance therewith, the manufacturing process can be simplified and the faulty component can be easily replaced with a normal component. As a result, the manufacturing costs of the organic light emitting display device can be reduced.

The system is configured to provide, alternatively, solar PV power and/or conventional power as required to maintain artificial illumination at a desired optimum threshold intensify.
