Abstract: The invention describes an illuminated serving tray that comprises a platter (1) through which light can pass, at least one sheet-like light source (7, 7?) disposed beneath the platter (1) for illuminating the illuminated serving tray and/or food (4), drinks (5) or other articles placed on the illuminated serving tray. The sheet-like light source (7, 7?) radiates light uniformly and thus producing uniform illumination of the objects placed on the illuminated serving tray. The illuminated serving tray may also comprise a cover (3) which may also be illuminated by the sheet-like light source (7, 7?). A system for charging the rechargeable energy storage devices (8) is also described. A method of changing the appearance of the illuminated serving tray, using at least partly reflective matter (11) is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8132951
Abstract: An endoscope system comprises first and second emitters, a fiber, and a controller. The first emitter emits illumination light to a photographic subject. The second emitter emits infrared light. Emission intensity of the second emitter is stronger than that of the first emitter. The fiber has a tip which moves in a spiral when viewed from the photographic subject during scan periods. The controller controls emission timing of the first and second emitters. Light emitted by the first and second emitters is cast from the tip of the fiber onto the photographic subject. The second emitter emits in a predetermined period of one of the scan periods, based on control of the emission timing, so as to shine infrared light with the second emitter to at least one part of the photographic subject, in order to perform marking.

Abstract: A light source device includes a xenon lamp, a rotary shutter, a main CPU for controlling drive of these components, and a sub CPU. The main CPU operates when receiving a reset cancel signal from a reset circuit. Between the sub CPU and the reset circuit, an AND circuit is provided. When the reset cancel signal from the reset circuit and a lighting completion signal indicating completion of lighting the xenon lamp are both input, the AND circuit outputs the reset cancel signal to the sub CPU. After the output of the lighting completion signal, the sub CPU operates to drive the rotary shutter. When high-frequency noise which occurs at the time of discharging the xenon lamp stops, the rotary shutter is activated and thereby generating pulses of illumination light.
