Abstract: An LED lamp includes a frame, an LED module, a plurality of reflecting plates, and a plurality of adjusting members. The frame includes a base and a holder mounted on the base. The base defines a plurality of slots. The holder forms a plurality of fixing positions. The LED module is received in the frame. The reflecting plates are pivotably engaged with the base and extend through the slots of the base to surround the LED module. The adjusting members respectively interconnect the reflecting plates and the holder. Each of the adjusting members is selectively fixed to one of the plurality of fixing positions of the holder. Each of the reflecting plates is capable of rotating with respect to the base of the frame during change of the fixing position of the adjusting member to the holder.

Abstract: An optical system, light fixture and method are provided that include a light source, a non-circular aperture, a filter apparatus, and a lens. The light source produces a first beam of light, a portion of which is passed by the non-circular aperture. The filter apparatus is positioned proximate to the non-circular aperture and is operable to selectively position a desired portion of a variable density filter in the portion of the first beam of light passed by the non-circular aperture. The lens collects the portion of the first beam of light passed by the non-circular aperture to produce a second beam of light.

  • Patent number: 8147095
Abstract: A light source contains at least one light-emitting diode installed in the casing or on the base, and a lens system located along the light flux. The lens system comprises a plane-convex lens, a first plane-concave lens, and a composite lens 4 that are located along the light flux. The composite lens 4 is made up of a second and third plane-concave lenses. Flat surfaces of all of the lenses 4 are outflow faces for the light flux. Axes of symmetry of the second and third plane-concave lenses are normal to each other, whereas axes of symmetry of the first and second plane-concave lenses are parallel to each other. The first plane-concave lens is made movable along the light flux, and has a relocation drive therefor. A solenoid or an electric motor with a gear can be used as the drive. The technical result of the invention is believed to be the improvement of performance indicators, and the structure simplification.

Abstract: The present invention provides a drive system for an optical light modulation system employing multiple light modulation element pairs. The each pair is driven by a single motor which drives one axis around which one element of the first pair rotates while the other element of the first pair free floats and rotates about a second axis. While the second axis drives the rotation of the first element of the second pair and the first axis provides a rotation pivot for the second element of the second pair. Thus the two pairs share the two axises providing a more compact drive system that can be used more flexibly in an optical train of an automated multiparameter lighting system.

Abstract: A headlamp includes a lamp base with an interior reflecting surface, a lamp provided in the lamp base, a driver deposited on a recessed supporting surface of the lamp base, two light shields installed on the lamp base and a spring biasing the lamp shields towards one another. The driver includes a driving shaft, and a pushing block with a conical surface gradually tapered toward its free end. The light shields are pivotally fixed on the lamp base by fastening elements and their inner portions overlapped each other, and each has a sliding groove bored obliquely and tapered downwards for the pushing block to pass through. The light shields are drawn by the driver to control light projecting from the lamp to produce a high and low beam illumination pattern.

  • Patent number: 8079734
Abstract: A lighting device includes a light source, first and second beam-directing prism elements, and a transmission device. The light source emits a light beam. The first beam-directing prism element is arranged in a first direction. The second beam-directing prism element is arranged in a second direction and partially overlapped with the first beam-directing prism element. When the light beam passes through different regions of the first and second beam-directing prism elements, different bending angles are resulted. The transmission device is connected to the first and second beam-directing prism elements for driving movement of the first beam-directing prism element in the first direction and movement of the second beam-directing prism element in the second direction. Accordingly, the light beam emitted by the light source simultaneously passes through one of the regions of the first beam-directing prism element and one of the regions of the second beam-directing prism element.
