  • Patent number: 8878429
Abstract: A lighting device comprising sources of visible light comprising solid state light emitters and/or luminescent materials emitting three or four different hues. A first group of the sources, when illuminated, emit light of two hues which, if combined, would produce illumination having coordinates within an area on a 1931 CIE Chromaticity Diagram defined by points having coordinates: 0.59, 0.24; 0.40, 0.50; 0.24, 0.53; 0.17, 0.25; and 0.30, 0.12. A second group of the sources is of an additional hue. Mixing light from the first and second groups produces illumination within ten MacAdam ellipses of the blackbody locus. Also, a lighting device comprising a white light source having a CRI of 75 or less and at least one solid state light emitters and/or luminescent material. Also, methods of lighting.

Abstract: An exemplary LED lamp includes a socket, an LED module, a signal receiver, and a signal emitter. The LED module includes a micro-computer processor, a power module and an adjuster electrically connecting with the micro-computer processor and the power module. The LED module is mounted on the adjuster. The signal receiver is mounted on the LED module. The signal receiver receives a signal emitted from the signal emitter and transmits the signal to the micro-computer processor. The micro-computer processor dictates the power module to drive the adjuster to rotate. The LED module rotates following the rotation of the adjuster to change an illumination angle of the LED module.

Abstract: A reflector spotlight luminaire includes a housing defining an optical axis. The light source is provided that includes one or more white light emitting LEDs, the lights being arranged to direct a beam of white light along the axis of the housing, such as being reflected from an ellipsoidal reflector. An image engine in the form of an LCD panel intercepts the beam of white light traveling along the axis to modify and enhance the beam of white light with image data, such as color, shape, animation, etc. Conventional projection optics accumulates the image emitted by the image engine, projects the optically enhanced light beam through the housing onto a projection surface.

Abstract: An adjusting structure for an LED lamp capable of adjusting the light beam includes a housing (1), an LED (2) fixed on the front end of the housing (1), a retractable adjusting seat (3) fitted on the outer side of the housing (1), and a convex lens (4) fixed on the outer end of the retractable adjusting seat (3). The convex lens (4) is positioned at the outer side of the LED (2). A rubber ring (5) is provided between the housing (1) and the retractable adjusting seat (3). Interference fits are formed between the rubber ring (5) and the housing (1) and the retractable adjusting seat (3) so as to generate damping between the retractable adjusting seat (3) and the rubber ring (5), thus a stepless adjustment is achieved.

Abstract: A device is disclosed that uses a plurality of light sources. The light sources may be light emitting diodes (LEDs). The light sources are arranged and mounted to a deformable flexible substrate. The light sources are arranged and mounted to the substrate as to emit their radiation perpendicular to the substrate. The substrate is flexed in a concave or convex manner by motor, magnetic field or other mechanical means. The light sources may emit their radiation perpendicular to the substrate, or the may diverge or converge their radiation away from the substrate. Perforations in the substrate provide cooling to the light sources by convection or forced air. A threaded holder may be screwed onto threads on a case in order to bend the flexible substrate to change the direction of light from the light sources mounted to the flexible substrate.
