Adjustable Or Repositionable Light Source Or Light Source Support Patents (Class 362/285)
  • Patent number: 7808620
Abstract: A testing device equipped with: a microchip having a receiver for a test fluid, a discharge lamp which emits light into the microchip test fluid receiver, a light source housing in which the discharge lamp is located, and an arithmetic calculation mechanism, which calculates the concentration of the component to be detected, based on the intensity of the light emitted from the test fluid container unit. To reduce the size of the device and to shield the arithmetic calculation mechanism from electromagnetic waves generated around the light source, the light source housing is equipped with shielding connected to the ground on the outside of the light source housing made of insulating material. The light source housing is positioned within an enclosure of the testing device holding the microchip and containing the arithmetic calculation mechanism, analysis output device(s), and other components of the testing device.

In lamp apparatuses utilizing AC LEDs, heat generated thereby is almost concentrated on chips because AC LEDs operate directly with AC electric power, omitting a rectifier and preventing power loss during operation of power rectification. Therefore, the heat accumulated on the chips of the AC LEDs is enough to be used to evaporate essential oil. Abstract: An LED flood lamp includes an LED lamp and a primary bracket and an accessorial bracket. The lamp includes a pair of lateral sidewalls. The primary bracket pivotally connects with the lateral sidewalls. The accessorial bracket has one end pivotally connecting with one lateral sidewall, and another end connected to the primary bracket via a fastener. Each of the primary and accessorial brackets defines an elongated slot. The fastener is slidable along the slots of the primary and accessorial brackets to vary an illumination angle of the lamp. The LED lamp has a substrate, a plurality of LED modules mounted on a top surface of the substrate and a heat sink mounted on a bottom surface of the substrate, whereby heat generated by the LED modules can be transferred to the heat sink via the substrate to be dissipated to ambient air.

Abstract: A light fixture allows individual light bulbs to be arranged in compact fashion to maximize the number of bulbs per given area in the fixture. To facilitate replacement or exchange of the bulbs, the bulbs are mounted in alternating succession on a pair of separately movable supports, reorientation of which serves to remove the bulbs from the tight packed arrangement, to one in which the bulbs are sufficiently separated from one another to allow hand access for removal and installation of the bulbs. A distinct aspect of the aforementioned feature of the invention independent of the movable supports resides in the ability to utilize two of more of the fixtures to multiply the light produced. Advantageously, the fixtures can be arranged in direct physical series, side by side, or to form an array extending in orthogonal directions.

Abstract: An optical device for effectively adjusting the F-number of an elliptical lamp is provided, the elliptical lamp for producing a focussed light beam at a given focal point having a given cone angle. The optical device comprises a light interaction portion for optically interacting with the focussed light beam when the light interaction portion is in general longitudinal alignment with a light emitting aperture of the elliptical lamp, the light interaction portion for triggering optical adjustment of a cone angle of at least a high cone angle portion of the focussed light beam to a smaller cone angle. The optical device further comprises a light egress portion, coupled to the light interaction portion, for enabling exit of the focussed light beam from the optical device with an effective cone angle smaller than the given cone angle, after the cone angle of the at least the high cone angle portion of the focussed light beam has been adjusted to the smaller cone angle.

  • Patent number: 7549766
Abstract: A light and/or selector may comprise a selector rotatable and axially movable in a housing with a member rotatable therewith for indicating rotational position. A projection engages one or more recesses when the rotatable selector is proximate the housing and does not engage the recesses when the rotatable selector is distal the housing. A spring biases the rotatable selector towards the housing so that the rotatable selector must be pulled away from the housing against the bias of the spring to disengage the projection from the one or more recesses and to rotate.

Abstract: The present invention is a solar powered light assembly mounted at a distal end of a flexible neck support, where a proximal end is fixed to a top of an exterior panel housing of an exterior panel that supports the neck support and light in a position which can be easily manipulated by a user. Presented at an underside of the exterior panel is a first flat magnet generally co-extensive with the entire underside of the exterior panel. An interior panel comprises a second flat magnet with approximately the peripheral shape as that of the first flat magnet. A secure fixation of the exterior panel on an outside surface of a mailbox, regardless of the location on said outside surface, can be achieved by the invention assembly by placing an upper surface of the interior panel adjacent to a portion of the relatively thin wall of the mailbox where the underside of the exterior panel has been located.
