Abstract: A mounting clip is formed for attachment to the side of a bill of a cap to mount a flashlight for hands free operation. The mounting clip is constructed with a clip portion and an integral flashlight mounting portion, both of which are made of memory retentive plastic so that the mounting of either portion takes advantage of the spring bias to exert a firm grip on the surface the portion engages. The upper and lower portions of the flashlight mounting portion are formed in a pair of arcuate segments that when taken together form a generally circular barrel grasping portion in two different diameters corresponding to known configurations of mini-flashlights. The surface of the mounting clip can be coated with a rubber-like material that enhances the grip on the surface engaged thereby. The clip portion can be formed with a different width dimension than the flashlight mounting portion.

  • Patent number: 7524083
Abstract: A lighting fixture where the lighting fixture uses inductive lighting technology or self ballasting lighting elements with one or a plethora of efficient light elements. The lighting fixture is used where high bay or low bay lighting may be used, but incorporates multiple light sources to provide an equivalent light intensity. The multiple light sources can be inductive or multiple fluorescent, LED or other efficient light sources to provide a less expensive cost of operation and installation. The higher efficiency lights could be standard socket type fluorescent or inductive light bulbs that are easily available. The higher efficiency lights will also create less heat that will further reduce the air conditioning or cooling costs for the building. An integrated ballast box with reflector dome retainer is also shown for use with inductive or other lighting that further includes a retaining mechanism for the dome.

  • Patent number: 7517117
Abstract: A lock has a preferably generally box-shaped body and a handle joined by and formed integrally with a narrower neck. The lock is useful for removably securing, without the need for semi-permanent attachments, Christmas light strings or other objects into a track system, which can run along the exterior of a structure. The body preferably can be rectangular in cross-section with rounded corners and slanted side walls and is dimensioned such that the manually turned handle rotates the body to press snugly against the inside walls of the track in one direction and fit loosely in the other direction.

  • Patent number: 7517108
Abstract: A modular flashlight assembly is provided that includes an integrated interface to facilitate mounting of the flashlight to a variety of different equipment. The flashlight mounting system includes a pattern of engagement surfaces on an exterior surface of the flashlight housing and a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is configured to be mounted onto the desired substrate and includes clamping members that releasably engage the engagement surfaces on the flashlight housing. In this manner, the engagement surfaces on the flashlight housing provide a surface by which the flashlight can be clamped without the need for a band that extends entirely around the barrel of the flashlight. Further, by releasably clamping the flashlight into a modular system, the flashlight can easily mounted onto any variety of different modular interface systems such as the interface rail that is integrated onto modern type firearms.

  • Patent number: 7513662
Abstract: A portable light intended for mounting on a garment as support includes two LED light sources spaced apart towards the rear of the portable light. A clipped base below on anchor facilitates locating a garment between the anchor and the base, and a spring action urges the base toward the anchor. A hingedly movable head for the LEDs is mounted on the housing to move to and form the housing. An opening of the housing causes a switch in the housing to move between an opened and closed position such that a circuit actives or de activates the LED lights when the head opens or closes relative to the housing.

Abstract: The inventive ceiling-mounted light-fixture support assembly includes a mounting bracket having upper and lower surfaces, a length, and a width between two width sides. The assembly also includes a fixture attachment member having a top with portions defining a top opening which has a width narrower than the width of the mounting bracket. The fixture attachment member further has a recessed portion defining a slideway which (a) is in lateral communication with the top opening, (b) has a width wider than the width of the mounting bracket, and (c) is spaced sufficiently lower than the opening-defining portions of the top to receive the two width sides of the mounting bracket. In use, the fixture attachment member can be positioned so that the mounting bracket is at least partially within the slideway and then repositioned so that the mounting bracket is within the top opening for light-fixture support.

  • Patent number: 7506993
Abstract: A fluorescent bulb retaining spring (6) comprises a one piece, sheet-metal stamped and bent part, entirely and seamlessly comprised of one material. The retaining spring (6) can be produced especially simply from one rectangular piece of sheet metal of substantially uniform thickness, with all functional parts and functional regions created by cutting out spring tongues and bending them outwardly from the sheet. Connecting legs between a bulb retainer portion (9) and a fastening portion (8) form an annular region which is closed in force-locking fashion by a crimped connection (29, 31, 32), which can be produced in automated fashion as part of the stamping and bending operation.
