Abstract: A portable vanity having an inverted U-shaped light bar frame with two spaced upright side light bars and a top horizontal light bar bridging and respectively hingedly connected at opposite ends to upper ends of the side light bars whereby the side bars hinge inwardly toward each other. The two side light bars and the top light bar are each comprised of two end to end light bar segment hinged together between segments whereby each segmented light bar folds inwardly at their segment hinge toward the inside of the U-shaped frame such that the frame collapses with the bar segments sequentially adjacent each other in parallel alignment. A securing mechanism is provided for securing the light bar segment hinge connections from hinge movement when the frame is fully assembled in its open position in its inverted U-shaped configuration. The light bar segments include electric light bulb sockets wired for energization of electric bulbs to be inserted in the sockets.

  • Patent number: 6302567
Abstract: A vehicle warning lamp is provided for removable attachment to a vehicle through use of a standard trailer hitch coupling. The warning lamp is mounted at the distal end of a vertical post which telescopes between an extended position wherein the lamp is elevated, to provide enhanced visibility in all directions, and a lowered or storage position. The lowered position enables the lamp to remain on the vehicle in the lowered position so that the vehicle can be moved into areas of restricted height, such as a parking garage, and under other obstructions which the lamp might otherwise come into contact with when extended to its uppermost position. The base of the vertical post is equipped with a hook or retainer which is engageable by a chain, cable or other such force-exerting device so that an extricating force can be applied to the vehicle through the auxiliary lamp in the event it becomes necessary to assist the attached vehicle in being extricated from such things as mud, sand or snowbanks.

  • Patent number: 6273585
Abstract: An improved bathroom-use mirror lamp having a mirror lamp and gimbal frame that are capable of a flexible range of angular adjustment. A gimbal frame is situated on the upper extent of the lower base, and a mirror lamp is mounted to the gimbal frame, with the gimbal frame containing internally routed electrical wiring. The electrical wiring of the mirror lamp is routed from the interior section of the mirror lamp through the two lateral arms of the gimbal frame and extended out at the bottom end of the lower base. The gimbal frame and mirror lamp each have a laterally disposed semicircular shaped recess at a connection section with a position limiting ball bearing in each. When the mirror lamp is rotated 180 degrees, the position limiting ball bearings become restricted against two edges of the insertion conjointment slots, causing the mirror lamp to become incapable of further rotation and preventing the twisting of the electrical wiring.

  • Patent number: 6202313
Abstract: The present invention concerns a plumb-bob device for vertical pointing operation with a beam-casting housing supported vertically by a plurality of legs via a gyroscope mechanism. The device has a reduced size, so that it can be handled quickly and conveniently on a construction cite. The legs are mounted for expansion and contraction in and around an upper end portion via the gyroscope mechanism on and around an upper end portion of the housing. The legs each have an inner surface complementary to the outer periphery of the housing. The device thus can assume a shape just like a long pencil when the legs are contracted. For vertical pointing operation, the housing is held vertically by the legs in an expanded state. The device can be used as an inverted plumb-bob device and also as a pointer by mounting a retaining member, which has a string, on lower end portions of the legs in the contracted state thereof.
