Abstract: A motorcycle headlight tilt control cooperates with wind deflecting fairing. It includes:(a) support means supporting the headlight structure to the fairing so that the headlight is tiltable to tilt the headlight forward beam up and down,(b) a manual control on the fairing, and(c) other means connected with the headlight structure and the manual control to controllably tilt the headlight in response to manual operation of said control,(d) there being a spring acting to transmit force biasing said headlight structure in a tilt direction.
Abstract: Two headlight frames are mounted on the vehicle body front to be tilted about their lower peripheries and are usually preloaded by a spring assembly to be limitedly tilted. A manually operable lever accessible to an operator is movable to and is held in the selected one of multiple operating positions. The manual operating effort applied to the lever is transferred through a linkage including cables or rods and pivotal levers to the headlight frame to maintain it in a certain tilted position corresponding to the selected position of the manually operable lever.
Abstract: A lamp comprises a lamp unit adjustably secured to a support member which support member is mounted on a vehicle. A nut mounted on the support member and a screw carried by the lamp unit are mutually engaged and provide a fine adjustment of the lamp unit. A spring urges the nut away from the support member and a rotatable cam acts on the nut in opposition to the spring to provide a coarse adjustment of the lamp unit when rotated in use. The cam is connected to a remote control linkage so as to be operable from a position remote from the lamp unit.A novel lamp assembly comprises a pair of lamps of the type described above coupled together so as to be operable synchronously from the said remote position.
