  • Patent number: 11716007
Abstract: By means of the system described, the use of eddy current generators on vehicles, especially bicycles, can be simplified by easier integration into standardized components such as brake pads, making them more suitable for everyday use. The problem of overcoming the magnetic holding forces at low speeds is essential for cyclists, as these would otherwise rule out the use of such systems in everyday traffic due to the lack of power generation when starting off at low speed. The integration into brake pads provides a significant advantage, as a new functionality is achieved without the need for additional components. The claimed additional functions for signalling contribute to increased traffic safety, especially for two-wheel traffic.

For the energy absorbing headlamp assembly, the device includes a link and a biasing mechanism coupled to each other such that the biasing mechanism continuously applies a second force to the link to bias the link to a first position when the headlamp assembly is in an initial position and a second position when the headlamp assembly is in a displaced position. For the resettable headlamp assembly, the device allows movement of the headlamp assembly from the displaced position back to the initial position when the first force is removed.

Abstract: A bracket coupling a headlamp module to a fixed structure is sandwiched between two ribs that constrain the bracket in only the cross-car direction. Internal clearances in the bracket or rib features for accepting attachment bolts are designed to provide fore/aft and up/down position adjustments. The sandwich structure can be locked in (i.e., compressed) for a rigid, final attachment to the vehicle which will nevertheless allow sliding of the bracket within the ribs when subjected to the forces corresponding to an impact.

Abstract: A method for controlling the vehicle lighting system viewing angles synchronizing with the turning angles and system thereof, comprising: obtaining a current vehicle turning angle signal, transforming it into current turning angle value; finding out the specific lighting system illumination angle synchronizing with a turning angle range according to the value; then controlling the lighting system switching to the found specific synchronizing illumination angle, achieving synchronization between viewing angles and turning angles. Through synchronizing with turning angles, the system automatically controls the lighting system spotlight degrees, thus controls the illumination angles, and brings a wide range visual effect to drivers. Without driver's extra operations, the system can automatically adjust the lighting system illumination angles according to different turning angles, thus adjust the driver's viewing angle sizes, further improves the driving safety.
