Gear Actuated Patents (Class 362/536)
  • Patent number: 8414170
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method for manufacturing a batch of motor vehicle headlight lenses, each lens comprising a lens body and a convexly curved optically operative surface. The method comprising pressing a pre-form between a first mold and a second mold, which second mold comprises a first and second mold sections. An offset depending on the volume of the pre-form a step is pressed into the headlight lens between the second mold section and the first mold section, wherein the first mold section is set back with respect to the second mold section at least in the region of the offset, and wherein the height of a step of a headlight lens of the batch differs by more than 0.05 mm from the height of a step of at least one further headlight lens of the batch.

  • Patent number: 7912660
Abstract: System and method for detecting partial discharge arcing phenomena in a power network distribution system which employs a mobile receiving assemblage including a wideband antenna, a computer controllable wideband radio receiver deriving an amplitude detected output and a global positioning system providing system position data. The amplitude detected outputs are digitized and treated with a digital signal processor based analysis including fast Fourier transforms extracting narrowband signal frequencies that are harmonically related to the network fundamental frequency. The narrowband signal frequencies are analyzed for peak amplitudes which are summed to derive maintenance merit values related to the arcing phenomena.

  • Patent number: 7364333
Abstract: In a vehicle headlight system with a light source (2) and at least one reflector (1) for shaping the light emitted by the light source into a high beam and a low beam, and with a shield (7) adjustable via an actuating element (9) between a position in which the light from the light source (2) is blocked across a maximum cross section and an essentially transmissive position in which this light is substantially allowed to pass through, the actuating element (9) adapted for adjusting the shield (7) in a plurality of intermediate positions between the maximal blocking and the essentially transmissive position in which intermediate position the blocked cross section is less than the maximal cross section.

  • Patent number: 7163323
Abstract: A vehicular rotatable lamp unit includes a main seat adapted to be mounted on a vehicle, a lamp seat assembly connected pivotally to the main seat, a conducting wire, a first contact assembly mounted on the main seat, and a second contact assembly adapted to be connected to a power source of the vehicle. The conducting wire has a first end connected electrically to the lamp seat assembly, and a second end opposite to the first end. The first contact assembly includes a first contact member connected electrically to the second end of the conducting wire and rotatable along with the lamp seat assembly. The second contact assembly includes a second contact member to contact the first contact member.
