Abstract: A high brightness diffusion plate for homogenizing light beams provided by at least one light source of a backlight module to a display panel is provided, which includes a diffusion layer, a transmittance layer, and a plurality of connecters. The transmittance layer is disposed above the diffusion layer, and the connecters are connected between the diffusion layer and the transmittance layer. Since the high brightness diffusion plate of the present invention is an integrated structure and is stronger, the present invention is not only easier for being assembled inside the backlight module, but also makes the light source provided by the backlight module being more homogeneous.

Abstract: Overlapping first and second light guide plates have incidence faces located opposite to each other. Each light guide plate has an emission restraint region, an emission gradually-increasing region and an emission promotion region arranged in order from incidence face toward distal end face. In each emission gradually-increasing region, emission light quantity increases gradually away from each emission restraint region toward each emission promotion region. The emission gradually-increasing regions of the light guide plates overlap each other. The emission promotion region of the second light guide plate overlaps with the emission restraint region of the first light guide plate while the emission restraint region of the second light guide plate overlaps the emission promotion region of the first light guide plate. Light from LEDs is limited by windows. Color-mixing of the LED-light occurs in each emission restraint region to become whitened light gaining emission intensity in the emission promotion regions.

Abstract: A high efficiency illumination device has a light guide with a light entrance for converting entering lights into lights exiting through light exit surfaces. Numerous light emitting elements are arranged near the light entrance. A mounting mechanism is interposed between the light emitting elements and the light entrance for affixing them to each other. For each light emitting element, the mounting mechanism also includes an integrated lens for collecting and collimating lights emanated from the light emitting element into the light entrance. In one embodiment, the illumination device further includes an anti-reflection layer placed between the integrated lens and the light entrance to minimize light loss due to Fresnel reflection at the interface between them. The anti-reflection layer can be made of a transparent and non-evaporating liquid material to form an intimately conforming, long lasting air-free bridge between the integrated lens and the light entrance.

Abstract: A light guide board includes an incidence surface, an emitting surface, and a reflection surface. The incidence surface is frosted and has a roughness-enhanced zone corresponding in location to a light source. The emitting surface forms micro-structures on portions adjacent to the incidence surface and two opposite end surfaces. The portions of the emitting surface forming the micro-structures have magnitude increased roughness as compared to portions that are not provided with micro-structures so that light transmitting through the micro-structures is subject to further diffusion. The reflection surface forms a plurality of prisms extending from the incidence surface with a small (shallow) depth to an opposite surface with a large (deep) depth, with the height of the prisms increasing with the length thereof so that the prism surface of the prisms changes from minimum to maximum, which ensures uniformity of the light emitted from the light guide board.
