The housing can comprise polyetherimide, which has very good heat dissipation properties. The shroud may also comprise polyetherimide. The compact luminaire enclosure of the invention further comprises an internal thermal lamp shield recessed within the housing. The internal thermal lamp shield comprises highly specular material so that it is able to reflect much of the heat coming from an enclosed luminaire. In one embodiment of the invention, the luminaire comprises anodized aluminum.

  • Patent number: 7387404
Abstract: A protective tubular light is proposed, which basically consists of a transparent light tube (10) in which a fluorescent lamp is positioned. The fluorescent lamp is carried by a lamp support. The light tube (10) can be tightly sealed on either end by a cover consisting of an outer cover part (60) and an inner cover part (80). Serving to produce the tight seal is a sealing ring (62), which is pressed against the inner wall of the light tube (10) by the axial movement of the inner cover part (80) in conjunction with a tension cone (83) furnished on the inner cover part (80). The electrical connection of the fluorescent lamp and the network cable is provided by plug and coupling parts (30, 40). To produce or break off the electrical connection the coupling part (40) is driven against or withdrawn from the plug part (30) by the inner cover part (80), which can be moved axially.

  • Patent number: 7264374
Abstract: A decorative lighting assembly includes a plurality of light emitters each having a pair of oppositely positioned first male connectors. The light emitters emit light when power flows through the first male connectors of the light emitters. A plurality of elongated couplers is provided and each has a pair of first female connectors electrically coupled together and positioned opposite of each other. Each of the first female connectors is configured to receive and electrically connect to one of the first male connectors. The light emitters are each positioned between and electrically coupled to a pair of elongated couplers to form a strand of electrically coupled light emitters. The strand is electrically coupled to a power supply coupler configured for electrically engaging a female power outlet.

Abstract: A connector for connecting a plurality of light strings mainly includes a female socket and a male socket with a plurality of terminal receivers and conductive pieces respectively. The terminal receivers and the conductive pieces are connected with the light-string conducting wires or the control lines of the light strings. Thereby when the male/female sockets are joined together, the light string can be extended or a working module controller for the light string can control more light-strings. The female socket includes a waterproof stopper inside to stabilize the conducting wires going through the female socket and also to provide a waterproof function. A joint nut is set outside of the male socket to reciprocally join with the female socket, so that the male/female sockets will not separate from each other arbitrarily.
